The update makes it even worse to use.
Since the update this app is even worse to use. You get an advert for something you’re not interested in on startup. When I try to change the time settings it crashes (this is with Teckin sockets). I’m looking for something that works.
Unreliable
Teckin app is completely unreliable. My light timers have been skipped multiple times, making the automation useless because you simply cannot trust it to work properly.
There is also an obvious bug where switching a device directly from the main app screen freezes the entire app, forcing a full restart every time. Basic functionality like this should not be broken in a finished product.

Not only do you buy the plug, but then you have to sit through an advertisement on the app each time accessing the app to turn on or off my light. So if there’s an emergency -like someone having a seizure- you have to get up and fumble for a switch or sit and wait for the ad to pass on the app.
Everything is terrible
The fact that this app tries to hock ads is a testament to how awful the products themselves are. Maybe if you made better stuff you wouldn’t have to subsidize with ads.

I don’t know how I ended up with this knockoff BS, but I use them for holiday decorations. Dumb app freezes, the I have to restart and watch an ad before I can turn off my Christmas tree. Would give zero stars.
