About

One keyboard for German, Spanish and English at the same time, plus French and Portuguese, and everything you type stays on your iPhone or iPad. No language switching: Tecla works out which language you are writing in, word by word, even when one message mixes them. And it forgives imprecise taps: "hbae" becomes "habe", "manana" becomes "mañana". NOTHING LEAVES YOUR DEVICE - Tecla contains no network code. Our release build stops if networking APIs appear anywhere in Tecla's source. - It works without Full Access. Without it, iOS keeps any keyboard off the network; with it, Tecla still has nothing that could send what you type. - No account, no cloud, no analytics, no tracking, no ads. - What Tecla learns stays on this device, and you can delete it in the settings at any time. FIVE LANGUAGES, ONE KEYBOARD - Switch on the languages you write: two, three or all five. Fewer languages, fewer wrong guesses. - QWERTZ, QWERTY or AZERTY, your choice. Umlauts, ß, ñ and accents by long-press, or just type "fur", "uber", "manana" and pick the accented word. - One suggestion bar for all your languages: the best guess in the centre, two more beside it. The word you typed can always be kept. - Questions get their question mark: when a sentence starts like a question, the period key becomes "?". Spanish questions get their opening "¿" automatically, and "Que haces?" becomes "¿Qué haces?". FORGIVES YOUR THUMBS - Fuzzy tap decoding: Tecla looks at where you actually touched, not only which key, and finds the word you meant. - Missed spaces: up to five words typed without a space, like "ichbingleichda", are recognised and offered as "ich bin gleich da". - Typed a period and went straight on? Tecla adds the missing space and capitalises the next sentence: "fine.see you" becomes "fine. See you". - Backspace right after a correction undoes it. Hold backspace to delete whole words. Drag along the space bar to move the cursor. LEARNS YOU, ON THE DEVICE - Your words: names, slang and terms you use often are learned and stop being "corrected". - Your phrases: Tecla predicts the next word from what you have written before. - Tap Map: Tecla learns where your thumb really lands on each key and moves the hit areas there. The keyboard's settings show you the map, and one switch turns it off. OPTIMIZED FOR iPhone Duo - Unfolded: keys sized for the large display, not a stretched iPhone keyboard. - Unfolded in landscape: two halves, one for each thumb. The "Split keyboard" switch in the keyboard's settings joins them. - Folded, and on other iPhones: the regular Tecla keyboard. ALSO - Emoji panel, emoji suggestions for the word you typed, and recent emoji with a long-press on the emoji key. - Long-press a suggestion to hide that word for good. Swipe left from delete to erase word by word. - Optional number row, or digits by long-pressing the top letter row. - Codes and e-mail addresses you typed once are suggested again. - One-handed mode on iPhone: hold the emoji key. - No stray space before , . ! ? and, if you like, suggestions tinted by language. - "Tips & gestures" in the app shows every gesture. Made for iPhone and iPad. FULL ACCESS IS OPTIONAL Turning it on only lets the keyboard share its settings, statistics and learned words with the Tecla app, and enables haptic feedback, quieter key clicks and, if you switch it on separately, a clipboard history that stays on the device. Without it, Tecla types, corrects and learns just the same. NO SUBSCRIPTION Every feature is included. No ads, no account. If Tecla saves you time, you can buy us a coffee, a tapa or a dinner in the app. It does not unlock anything; it simply says thanks. Made in Spain by Freshlab, for people who write in more than one language every day.
