Game 5/ Quotes 1

This game is relaxing and challenging. I can’t stress how much I love the game. The informative facts are fine. The quotes from pseudo intellectual’s are abhorrent. The quotes are from people without any kind of self-awareness or insight. I am renaming the quote portion, “Time for Cringe: Quotes from the Worst Among Us.”

Scramble the words. It sure *was* a fun game. Tranny flags and propaganda. KCUF, is it June already? No thanks, TSOGGAF Disgusting.

Dictionary Issues

Like most words games, they live and die by the quality and consistency of the dictionary they use. There’s an enjoyable daily word game here, but missing words spoil the fun, e.g. “goth” is acceptable, but “nerd” isn’t, and there are so many more examples like this.

Response from developer

We appreciate your feedback about the dictionary's consistency. It’s vital for enjoying the game, and we’re always looking to improve that experience!

Learning

Very fun

Response from developer

Thanks for the wonderful review, and we're glad you're enjoying the experience. Happy gaming!

Could be better

The games against the “TED bot”, even at expert level, are too easy. Multi-player games are unfair in that a time-out is not considered a win when the other player stops playing (usually because certain of their loss).

Doesn’t save

Several times I’ve played, then left the game, when I’ve gone back I’m starting at the tutorial. It could be great but not when the saves aren’t working

Mostly great

Sometimes doesn’t accept words it should but sometimes it accepts weird letter combinations as bonafide words

Response from developer

Hey there! Glad to hear your honest feedback, it’s always appreciated. Thanks for the review!

100+ day streak gone

Please can somebody fix the issue with storage? I’ve currently lost my 100+ day streak 🙈🤦🏻‍♀️😭

Fun but could use more games

The game is fun, and there’s a few variations of it, but it could use another game or two for variety.

Response from developer

Really glad you’re having fun, and we totally get where you’re coming from. Thanks for the thoughtful feedback!

The word “wed” is not accepted

I understand that some words which are not politically correct are not accepted. But how come the word “wed” is not?

Why

Why has it TWICE deleted my progress?!

NEEDS WORK!

I love this game because it challenges your vocabulary and keeps you engaged, but it crashes way too much! Literally lost over 1 month of data. Contact app support and they say there is nothing they can do. Fix it!

Tumblewords playa

Love the game but rarely can I find anyone to play against. If you come out with a good word your opponent bails or never shows up at all.

TED, did you check this?

Whatever concession/fee the TED organization received for this license wasn’t enough. The harm done to the reputations of both Netflix and TED from this basic, problematic, buggy app makes me like everything less. The streak counts are constantly wrong, the dictionaries are inadequate, the ‘reward’ facts are poorly researched/worded, and the entire experience makes one yearn for a world without language. The grunts of cavepersons would be preferable. The execs in charge of this green-light need serious oversight. Ugh.

Great Concept, Could Use Improvement

This is one of the better word games I’ve seen in a while. I love the game concept and how clean the UI is. I’m also a fan of the different challenges the game offers.

I would like to know what dictionary this game uses and/or how the list of valid words is generated. I’ve had some very common words not be accepted (e.g. “nerd” and “gene”) and I found it quite frustrating.

I also wish there were a way to set an option for timed moves when searching for a game. Something like 1-2 minutes per move would be ideal. At the very least, for the longer player vs. player games, there should be a maximum number of days you can take to make a move before forfeiting the game.

Thank you for all your hard work in developing this game! Looking forward to future the updates.

Hi Faxeleun, thanks for the positive words on the concept and UI. We’ll take your feedback forward, we really appreciate your thoughts. Keep enjoying the challenges!

Great word game

If you like word games like wordle or word scales this is the game for you it’s fun ever changing and you go against other players

Response from developer

Hi Lelolocket, it's wonderful to hear that you're enjoying the competitive and dynamic elements of the game. Thank you for sharing your thoughts!

Word Washed

I am astounded by the basic words missing from the game’s dictionary. The final straw was when the word “wed” did not count. I am offended. This is censorship and wrong and I refuse to play it anymore. Too bad, because it was a fun game until this happened.

No complaints except..

All of my player vs player games show the other user as “unknown” - I set the game up on my grandmothers iPad and set her username in the Netflix game settings but she is still showing up as “unknown” on my end. Hard to tell games apart from each other.

Mostly great

A good, less pretentious version of that one newspapers game. One annoying thing on the harder levels is there’s no “forfeit and do over “ when you mess up and are 600 points behind. Not real fun to continue after you lose the round.

Response from developer

HI VoiceOfReality, thanks for your review and we're glad you're enjoying the game! We hear your concern about the lack of a "forfeit" option on harder levels. Your insights are incredibly valuable, and we've noted it for consideration. Thank you for sharing!

Eh

It’s disappointing that they limit game time to just a few minutes.

Response from developer

Hi Marci Lynn K, we appreciate your feedback about the limited game time. Your thoughts are important to us as we strive to enhance the gaming experience. Thank you for sharing your perspective!
