User reviews

Don’t Like Updates

I keep getting asked to review even though I’ve submitted one. Also I don’t like that the warning to check the puzzle comes on now every time you check a puzzle. There should be an option to turn off—especially for puzzles from the archives.

Glitchy App

Sometimes the games load through the app, sometimes they do not. If you ask for help, you are given 15 million hoops to jump through…clear cache, uninstall-reinstall app, log out/log in, blah blah blah. I wonder if people started asking for credit from the subscription, would that get the NYT’s attention? 🤔

Egregious Crossword Error

The Midi today (7/16/26) had a clue “toy blocks.” The puzzle required “legos” as the correct answer. But LITERALLY EVERYBODY knows that the plural of lego is lego. Either the NYT has started outsourcing puzzle design to AI or [insert ableist sarcastic reference]. Unacceptable!

Disappointment!

I really love this App and play the games every day but since the update yesterday, I constantly get the message “oops, something went wrong” and whichever game I’m playing cuts out. It’s happened about 10 times today and I’ve sort of given up in frustration! Is this a fault in the App or my iPad?
