My tello isn’t working
I hate this drone
Great little starter drone but customer support link broken!
The drone itself is a great little starter drone that is simple to fly and because of its size may not have some of the legal restrictions of larger drones (check local laws and restrictions carefully!)
The app on the other hand can be quite annoying! The battery meter icon is tiny and hard to read so you really have to look at it closely to avoid your drone “dropping out of the sky” and self landing wherever it is when the battery drops too far. This drone has no automatic return home functionality.
For some reason the app frequently closes back to the phone Home Screen on iOS 26.x (perhaps a compatibility issue?). When an error occurs it displays a link to “contact support”. The servers seem to be shut down! Not just “page not found “ but “unable to locate the server”! The same link seems to be on this app page.

Randomly closes
Good to know when you get 35ft in the air, the app just shuts down, it takes a bit to get it back open, it’s got to play a 6 second animation graphic once you open it which ends up getting your drone stuck in a tree. Good job guys

Great experience, but app keeps crashing.
The app crashing is the only flaw to the app. It always crashes in the worst situations. Like when I’m flying over my house or flying towards a fence. Please fix this for a 5-star rating. I think everyone would appreciate that. On iPhone by the way.
Pretty good
It works really well and is quite fun. But sometimes when I’m using it on my iPad, it crashes. Not sure if it’s the iPad’s fault or the apps fault. But something to keep in mind

Love the drone, so fun to fly, it was gifted to me by my moms uncle. Such an amazing drone, would highly recommend purchasing. 👏
Improve it
If you do anything other than letting it hover, it seems so that the app just crashes. So if I keep turning right for example, my app crashes and the drone keeps flying right causing it to crash into a wall and being a hazard. I am saying this with the latest version of the drone and app.

The App Sucks 2 ⭐️⭐️. The Drone is Good (for beginners) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Long story short: The app itself sucks, today I dusted off the case for my Tello, charged up a battery to fly around for 10 minutes, in this amount of flying time the app crashed 3 times, not only this but upon first takeoff, the drone decided to veer to the left by a lot (not a calibration issue). crashed Once from taking a photo, the other two crashed just randomly. I don’t have the paid app and I probably won’t do that since I have a DJI mini that does everything I’d want, with a great app. The fact of the matter, is that the standard app for this drone is bad, which is telling. If you want a Tello, do some research as the 6 dollar paid FPV app is highly recommended amongst Tello users (I lack this experience)
As for the drone. I think it’s a cool small drone. It’s the best budget drone you can find in that it’s not entirely meant for kids as the cheap 30-70 dollar drones tend to be but this can very well be given to a kid who wants to learn about drones/flying. It’s main purpose to me is an entry into Drones, to see not only if they are for you, but it comes with great controls which are borrowed in collaboration with DJI whom are one of if not the top Drone companies. So the drone will fly and behave similarly to DJI drones (without obstacle avoidance).
I recommend the drone if you can find a 100% stable App experience. Cause otherwise it’s a bad time with the free Tello app. Which sucks cause it never crashed when I got the drone and the few times I’ve flown it, until today. Which just tells me the Devs of this software aren’t staying on top of it or don’t seem to care about the Tello app.

I loved using the drone, but it just stoped working one day. We tried charging it, but it would not work. Really fun though.
