I’ve been using TempStars for several years, starting when I was a dental assistant and continuing to temp as a DA throughout dental hygiene school. Now, as a dental hygienist, I still use the platform and have had a very positive experience.
I’ve heard some horror stories about temping, but TempStars has always been helpful and supportive whenever I’ve had an issue. I’ve learned that being direct, transparent, and communicating any concerns as soon as possible makes a huge difference, and their team has always been responsive when I’ve needed assistance.
I genuinely enjoy the flexibility of temping and being able to choose when and where I work. My only wish is that there were options for benefits and paid time off. As much as I love temping, I may eventually have to consider permanent employment simply for the security of PTO and benefits. If TempStars ever offered something along those lines for regular temp professionals, it would make an already great platform even better.
Overall, I’m very grateful for the opportunities TempStars has given me throughout my career — from dental assisting, through hygiene school, and now as a registered dental hygienist. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Need more choice of shifts …
I find they don’t put out all available shifts to everyone as I have spoken to dentists where I got a few shifts and they asked me why I didn’t take the other ones . It would be nice to know the dentist could choose who they want rather than the other way around .
Wouldn’t even let me sign up
When I got to the SECOND step of making my account, my address wouldn’t appear and when I refreshed the app NO ADDRESSES CAME UP AT ALL. These temp apps need to do better
Dental hyg
Really slow at responding to inquiries, with wait times as long as 5 days. Addressing other grievances regarding non compliance from employers also slow to respond. Sometimes responses to specific inquiries are not addressing actual issues. Like most apps, you can’t even speak to anyone directly. Just through emails. The current updates DO NoT offer detailed info about ratings. You’re pretty much left in the dark to figure it out. Very frustrating

Hygienist
Very bad management of this app, they don’t deserve to have many professionals bringing money to their tables, putting accounts on hold for no fair reason, they should at least take a course to have an idea what efficient management is.
