About
Ten Band EQ is a professional 10-band graphic equalizer built as an AUv3 plugin, ready to use in GarageBand, AUM, Cubasis, and any other Audio Unit host on iOS.
Designed with acoustic guitar in mind — and musical on everything else — Ten Band EQ gives you clean, precise tone shaping without complexity getting in the way.
TEN BANDS
Ten ISO-standard octave bands from 31 Hz to 16 kHz, each with ±12 dB of cut or boost. Grab a slider, shape your tone, hear the result immediately. Bands 1–9 use proportional Q: gentle at small moves, focused at full boost or cut — the classic graphic EQ feel that stays musical no matter how hard you push it. Band 10 at 16 kHz is a high-shelf, not a peak, so your "air" band always sounds like air.
FILTERS
A sweepable high-pass filter (18 dB/oct, 30–200 Hz) rolls out unwanted rumble and low-end mud before it ever reaches the bands. A sweepable low-pass filter (12 dB/oct, 4–20 kHz) tames harshness at the top. Both filters sit at the edges of the audio spectrum by default — always in the signal chain, never in your way unless you need them.
OUTPUT TRIM
Stack a few bands of boost and levels add up fast. The ±12 dB output trim brings your signal back under control without any extra gain stages or metering to manage.
Q MODES
Variable Q (the default) gives you the proportional "musical" response described above. Switch to Fixed Q for a tighter, more surgical MXR-style response — great for notching problem frequencies or adding hard shelf boosts.
BYPASS
One toggle switches between IN and BYPASS. The red indicator makes bypass state obvious at a glance.
AUv3
Ten Band EQ is an Audio Unit v3 plugin. Load it as an effect in GarageBand, AUM, Cubasis, ApeMatrix, or any AUv3-compatible host. It also runs as a standalone app for quick listening sessions or to register the plugin with iOS.
