From there, watering, feeding, pruning, and check-ins get scheduled for you — week by week, tuned to the species and the plant's actual state. No nagging. — What's inside — · Photo identification Point the camera at a plant. In a second or two you get the species, its common name, scientific name, and a starter care profile. If the top match looks wrong, tap any of the alternates to switch — no need to retake. · Species-aware weekly tasks A Brazilian iron tree drinks weekly; a tomato seedling needs daily attention. Tendly's task generator knows the difference, so you stop seeing the same generic "water once a week" reminder for every plant. Tasks group by kind (water, feed, prune, inspect) so a garden of ten plants still reads cleanly. · Health check-ups Photograph a plant when something looks off. AI compares against recent shots, flags common pests and diseases, and turns its findings into focused next-steps. · Real local weather Open-Meteo powers a 7-day forecast for your actual location. If rain is in the forecast you'll see "skip the next watering" instead of generic reminders. · Smart product picks For each plant, AI recommends 1-3 categories that actually help right now — fertilizer if it's been a while, neem oil only if a pest was spotted, frost cover only when the season calls for it. Each card opens current listings at Home Depot, Walmart, Target, and Gardener's Supply. Tap "I already have this" or "Not for this plant" and we stop suggesting it. · Translation that works Plant info from third-party databases is often English-only or in Latin. Tendly's translation layer renders names and care text in your language, with results cached for everyone else who looks up the same plant. · Cross-device sync Sign in and your plants, photos, and tasks follow you to a new device.
