Absolute Garbage
You will spend more time watching ads than you will actually using the app. This app is really garbage. Use mega for file storage, use google drive, use icloud storage, DO NOT USE THIS GARBAGE APP.
STAY FAR, FAR AWAY. SO MANY RED FLAGS.
This is Flextech Inc. out of Tokyo, formerly Dubox by Baidu. Neither the terms of service nor the privacy policy mentions Baidu once. That is a choice. And it sets the tone for everything below.
Before you can even reach the terms and privacy policy links, the app puts its tracking permission demand in front of you. You're asked to consent to surveillance before you're allowed to read what you'd be consenting to. That's the handshake. Here's what's actually in the documents:
1. They profile your files. The privacy policy has you agreeing they can aggregate and analyze your information to build "label information" reflecting your "operation habits, interests, or credit," then use it for automated decision-making and marketing. A storage locker that opens your boxes and scores you.
2. The app reads your clipboard. It's a declared feature, supposedly only for invite codes and share links, with a promise they'll never look otherwise. Your clipboard carries passwords, 2FA codes, banking details, crypto seed phrases. Weigh that promise against a company that won't print its own corporate history.
3. Deletion is discretionary. You email a helpdesk, they "determine whether to accept your deletion request based on your usage," and if you have any data in your account they won't accept it immediately. No timeline given. It's a storage service. Having data in the account is the entire product. The deletion right functions mainly for empty accounts.
4. Facial recognition KYC on their say-so. When they deem it "necessary," you must hand over your real name, government ID number, and facial recognition data, which they may cross-check against government-authorized institutions. For a file locker.
5. Liability for losing your data: one month's fee. The all-caps section disclaims "ANY LOSS OF DATA, REGARDLESS OF LEGAL THEORY" and caps damages at what you paid that month. The one job the product has is the one thing they won't answer for. The same clause misspells "NEGLIGGNCE" and "ATTRIBTUED." They couldn't proofread their own liability cap.
6. Breach notification is optional. If they judge that their own cleanup "effectively avoided the harm," they may simply not tell you unless a regulator forces them. Self-graded homework, and you never see the report card.
7. Your data goes to governmental organizations "or their agents" without your consent, plus a disclosure exception for the "healthy development of youth," vague enough to cover anything with a badge or a mission statement.
8. No refunds after auto-renewal "for any reason." You're charged whether you use the service or not. All disputes go to courts in Tokyo under Japanese law. Your realistic remedy is an email and fifteen days of waiting.

Apple Store needs the ability to add reviews thatl allow deficit numbers.
This is so God not find a way to uninstall it for 20 minutes for context. I invent manufacturer and build apps for a living. I have 13 pattern pending more I’ve already received. CIPOO and then there’s uninstall schedule saying never he’s closing it and probably gets really really complicated strong suggestion and have nothing to do in it.

Won’t let me delete the app
Deceptive
I downloaded the app and tried it. It was never able to upload my videos. Not only that, but it overheated my phone, and it was impossible to access any parts of the app because of the barrage of back-to-back ads. Uninstalled.
Terrible app
Right after I upgraded to Premium, the app automatically enabled the Auto Backup feature without my explicit consent. This is a severe violation of user privacy and a breach of data control. To make matters worse, the original high-quality files on my device storage disappeared, while the versions backed up in your cloud turned out to be compressed and blurry. Real premium apps like Google Photos always wait for explicit user confirmation before backing up or touching local data. Forcing a backup and ruining important data without confirmation is unacceptable and highly damaging to users.

Frustrating uninstall experience
Very frustrating uninstall experience. When I long-pressed the app icon, there was an “Uninstall” option, but instead of uninstalling, it launched the app and forced me to watch a 5-second ad. After closing the ad, the “Uninstall” button inside the app was greyed out, and tapping it only redirected me to the system Settings page instead of uninstalling the app. This feels like a deliberate attempt to make uninstalling more difficult and creates a very poor user experience.

All you dummies and dinguses giving 5 stars…saying things like, “it’s great for important documents”…is it? what kind of documents? are you keeping your bank info in there? maybe social security deets? why would you keep important documents in a “free” storage platform that you clearly haven’t researched? terabox (formerly “dubox”) was originally owned by baidu (a chinese giant) before getting renamed and now claims to be run by “flextech” based in tokyo, yet there’s really no information anywhere about “flextech” so it seems to just…exist on paper, while the servers, tech stack, whole operation traces back to baidu in china. something interesting to consider here is that japan has different privacy laws than china. basically, japan = privacy-friendly, china is not (see: tiktok)…would china slap a shell company on an unassuming, new, shady little app to fake safety? and why would they do that?? that’s for you to decide…
or, y’know, not… because you’re all just blindly trusting a random app off the bat and throwing all your “important documents” in without even thinking about security/privacy at all, apparently.

well, cletus… that’s because it’s not google drive. it’s an EVEN LESS secure platform than that, likely just trying to steal your info etc. etc., whatever else ya got in there. and clearly they deserve it if it’s that easy. ya dang dinguses.

無料で1TBのストレージを利用できるクラウドサービスというのはまず他に無いもので、そこが一番の強みであり、自分がヘビーユーズしている理由でもあります。
共有系のサービスであればこの様な高容量を売りにしたものを見かけること自体はあるのですが、高容量の他に日本の地域で利用できるのは勿論のこと、各拡張子の利用が可能な汎用性の高さやクラウド解凍（展開）機能に加え、尚且つアップロードやダウンロードが容易に行えるという実用性も兼ね備えたクラウドサービスとしては、個人的にはこのTeraboxが中々の筆頭格でないかと思います。
UI周辺もアップデートを重ねるに連れて洗練され続けていて、保存した写真や動画、MP3などのデータを直感的な操作で閲覧できるので非常に重宝しています。
セキュリティーの面に関しては、Teraboxのメインのデータサーバーは日本にある（東京の森ビル）、国際機関によってISO認証が認定されている、という公式の記載を前向きに考慮するならば、ある程度担保はされていると感じます。
何であれ保存するデータを暗号化すれば相手側に内容を見られるという事はまずない（AES-256などによって暗号化されたデータの解読は現実的でないため）ので、その面において不安な方は使い方を工夫すればリスクは減らせると考えます。
動画のアップロードなどに関しても広告視聴などによって有効化できるリワード報酬を適用することで安易に有料会員のサービスを利用することができるので、無料で利用をするユーザーであっても大きな不便はなく利用ができる感じです。アップロード、ダウンロードの速度は著名なサービスと比べてやや力不足ではありますが、個人的には許容できる範囲かなと。
ネット社会という言葉が当たり前どころか陳腐ですら無くなった現代においては、この様な大容量のストレージを無料で利用できるサービスというのは現代の福祉といってもギリギリ過言では無いでしょう。非常にありがたいです。

Without paying, it’s worthless.
Originally it was free. Worked fine.
Then the ads and begging to pay began. Annoying but the app still worked.
Now if you’ve got something downloaded and try to view it, the video freezes, lags, paused etc.
That is by design as immediately there is a pop up saying to fix it, PAY!
