No Lock Screen widget

I bought this specifically to make a Lock Screen widget on my phone. Apparently it doesn’t support that; I guess it’s a different widget type? Very disappointed.

(Also I wouldn’t hate the ability to go as a complication into a smart face on the Apple Watch either, but at least I expected that wouldn’t work because the store page doesn’t mention Watch anywhere. But Lock Screen first.)

Perfect for At-A-Glance Visibility

Pair this with a coding agent, and you can easily add widgets for any service with an API or any script with output you want to keep an eye on. My favorite thing about this is that once I have a widget on my Mac, I can update it on whatever schedule makes sense using a plist in ~/Library/LaunchAgents, and then whatever I’m monitoring becomes visible on my phone, because the widget data syncs over iCloud. Brilliant!

Great app, wonderful developer!

I’d been looking for a replacement for GeekTool forever, and this is so much more than that. So incredibly versatile. One of the best purchases I’ve ever made for my Mac.

TerminalWidget can save you money because instead of buying single-purpose widget apps, you can roll your own. I’m not even super geeky and I am making a bunch of widgets and having a blast.

Last and definitely not least, Brett Terpstra is so responsive, thoughtful, and kind. Thank you for your help, Brett!
