Incredibly buggy, but promising
I like the UI and TTS+RSVP mode, but frustratingly buggy. Will consider subscribing long term for this app once bugs are fixed. Current word marker often desyncs or disappears, accidental touching of bottom scrollbar leads to loss of position, TTS sometimes overlaps or pauses randomly, and changing voice speed can reset progress back to the beginning. Biggest issue overall is that it’s so easy to lose your position while speed reading and it’s so frustrating trying to find the page where you last left off

Bad Audio Quality
The text to speech didnt work at all. The speech was total gibberish
Comfort mode only the first page is readable the others or not
What is causing this problem? This is so irritating. Could you please handle this issue. The black and white colors change places which makes it impossible to read the pages except only the first one. Your app is amazing but YOU MUST SOLVE THIS ANNOYING ISSUE.

Thanks for adding the Hyperlegible open source font I had requested awhile back. Really liking the way the app works these days.
Latest library upgrade update fixed issues
I just need to remember to never update again to avoid battery drain issues returning again.

Battery life still terrible
I know the developer replied to my original review regarding battery life being nerfed on every release after 4.5.0. But honestly, I haven’t seen the improvement they claim to have made. I still get like max of 4 to 5mins/battery %. It’s kinda ridiculous honestly. I genuinely waited months for you guys to fix the battery issue before I bought the lifetime subscription and now battery use is absurdly high and has been since right after Christmas. I think I’ve opened it, maybe five times in the last two weeks whereas before I was opening it every chance I could.
Is there any way to get a re-download option of 4.5.0? These latest iterations are terrible and if you use it with the audio translation activated, you get something like two minutes for every battery percent which is unbelievable. I can pretty much use my phone as a hand warmer with this app now.
If you guys aren’t able to fix the battery issue, can I get a refund? You significantly changed the core functioning of the app to the point where I really can’t justify using it as it will have my phone running on low power mode inside of like 2-3 hours.

Not for kids
This is good and I love the speed reading but I would just like to point out that while I am a very advanced reader and can keep up with adult books, I don’t find them interesting due to my age being a lot younger than the age group it was originally dedicated to. There are no books that a kid would Enjoy. While this app is recommended for children with an age of 12 and above (my age), I couldn’t seem to find a book that would catch my attention. I also have ADHD and love learning about things related to it but I couldn’t find any article/book based on that either. I don’t know if this app has a way I can say… paste the book I wish to read and turn it into a speed reading book. I also highly recommend adding some more children books. Lastly I just want to point out that when u was reading the reviews the devs were extremely polite and I would like to thank them for their kindness

Highly recommend
Using this app helps me save time while reading my favourite books. The entire application is very easy to use, and I strongly recommend giving it a try.
Excellent speed reader
Very impressed by the changes they’ve made recently. Enough so that I did make the jump for the lifetime subscription definitely worth the $60. Only thing I’d like to see changed in terms of the UI would be a true black OLED friendly background (that takes advantage of the OS ability to shut off pixels that are all black) for the dark mode and maybe a little bit more of a brighter green for the green focal letter something more to the tune of a R: 115 G: 242 B:77
So far, I’ve been using color filters and inversion settings to achieve the effect described above. Will say probably improves the battery use about 20-30% based on the way I’ve done it so far with the classic invert setting. Typically keep my phone and Low Power Mode so imagine the percentage would be significantly higher on regular mode, it’s easier on the eyes too :-)

Battery drain finally resolved
Thank you to the developers for fixing the battery drain issue. Getting a consistent 10 mins screen time per battery %. Not the absolute best but definite improvement over the 3-5mins was getting before this mornings patch. Planning on re subbing so please don’t mess it up. Any chance the lifetime sub could see a price adjustment? Most developers cap their lifetime price around cost of 3 full year subs which would be around $50.
Oh one last recommendation for future consideration: open the apps usable font selection list to the full iOS system font list.

Too power hungry
Had been using it frequently till started to realize just how much battery it was using up. Read with it for 1h20m last night & it used 24% of my battery. Used Outread a similar app for 4h45m & only used 21%. It’d be a really good app if it weren’t for that. Assuming it’s a major RAM hog as well & that’s likely why. App has a recurrent tendency to black screen requiring relaunch if you go in & out of speed reader mode somewhere between 6-12 times. Not all that hard to do given the lack of a jump back button to skip back in the text.
Really liked it there for a couple weeks but really uses an unjustifiable amount of power when similar apps like Outread & ReadOwl use a small fraction of what it does.
Kind of a bummer because I was planning to buy a lifetime sub for it.

App completely not working
I have been trying to read a book but all the time it’s closed by itself app is not working. I try many of my devices from iPad from iPhone iMac, but it’s the same they should fix this immediately.

После того, как выхожу из приложения, то не сохраняется прогресс, а во время чтения показывает 0/0 страниц в книге, а в процентном соотношении NaN%, думаю, это и есть причина отсутствия сохранения прогресса чтения
Но в отличие от остальных приложений - работает с русским языком, подписку оформлю, но вот сделали бы сохранение прогресса, то было бы вообще великолепно

Bookmarks work poorly

Free offer lied
Wanted to test before I committed saw 3 day free trial but I was automatically charged a year subscription and no option to cancel or request a refund
Painful to use
Signed up for the trial and I am deleting the app after not being able to read a page. As someone with ADHD I thought this would be useful but the functionality is not efficient. There is not way to get to the seetings easily without clicking the page 100x times, then it only allows you to change one settin at a time and the menue disappears. On top of that adjustign fonts sizes doesn't work. There is no easy way to navgate to which part of the text you're at once you're reading in speed more. It's a chore to use, more a hinderance than a help. Disappointed.

I have enjoyed the free trial, however I will decline the annual subscription due to its many bugs. This app has everything I desire in a reading app, however I expect it to perform without the frequent glitching. It is otherwise excellent for distracted readers.
