Terrible app
Just paid for the subscription and now I have zero ability to communicate application issues as there are no options and the functionality that was promised was not there awful app
Can’t save to my Voice Memos…
I was looking for a better alternative to my current voice-over app to read my stories for my book; but for some reason, this app doesn’t allow you to save to your Voice Memos, so it has soured me from subscribing to this app.
APP KEPT SAYING ERROR
5 minutes after downloading this app for an entire year I made an attempt to use it. The app did not work. After I took all the photos of the book for the app to read it kept saying error and would not play. I need my money back IMMEDIATELY.
Basically unusable
The voices were somewhat realistic but not what I was looking for, and after looking through a couple of voices it puts a paywall behind the voices and won’t let me use them, and after you get off the paywall it forces you to watch an ad, it’s astonishing how much it’s trying to get money out of you

This is a really great app, although I am having an issue.
This is a really great app, Finn is one of the voices I like best so far.
I use this app mostly to read my PDF documents that I create, mostly it’s meditation scripts, but I’ve ran into something about the app that I’m wondering can be fixed with the next update.
I’ve noticed that the app will only read half of my document, it will not read the document in its entirety.
so let’s say I am having Finn read a meditation script that I’ve just created, she will only read half of it, rather than the entire document.
When I first downloaded this app, and it asked me how it could serve me best, first, I said that I usually read PDF documents, that’s where I ran into the problem that I spoke about, but it will only read half of the document.
And then, because I thought I had selected something wrong, I deleted the app, and then re-downloaded it, and this time, when it asked me, I selected reading extensive text, but it was still doing the same thing.
so I’m wondering if this can be fixed by the next update.
Until then, I’ve given this app for STARZ, I hope I’ll be able to change that in the very near future.
Other than that site issue, this is a wonderful app, the AI text to speech voices read my PDF documents very well, and despite the current issue, I’m having, I would recommend this app to anyone who is blind or officially, impaired, or who simply likes to read audiobooks , or have a document read out loud to them.

Waste of money. Reads about 15% of what is scanned.

The team there did a good job of resolving my issue. They were very communicative and open to solving the problem.
Scam on purchase
I purchased the subscription that advertises 50,000 characters. I tried to download 18,000 characters and was rejected. The app has no form of communication or email.
Is there a limit???
I can’t do anything, as it tells me to subscribe and then shows an ad. Don’t get this and save yourself

I purchased the app because I had to have my voice box removed. So I no longer have the gift of speech. I had hoped this app would help me communicate with others however, the app takes so long . Sometimes 30 seconds or more rendering it useless for conversing. For that reason I so don’t purchase.

I love this app, great price, very pragmatic and practical for my endeavors to study theology/philosophy!!! If I can please just ask for one thing… I’d love a speed control for the the Ai voices… I’m a very fast reader, this gives my eyes a break but I’d appreciate it so much if it could read 2x or 3x faster!!! In any event I still will keep my subscription for many years to come this app is an integral part of my everyday life, thank you!!! Anybody serious about learning or reading for fun I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS AWESOME APP💯💯💯

App doesn’t work
i typed in my speech to talk and it didn’t work at all. It asked me to rate the app before i used it and then asked me to pay for the app.
Three Uses?
Hello! Im not usually one to write reviews but I thought I would. This app is good and the voices are decently realistic for it being AI but seriously, only 3 free turns? It would make sense with unlimited uses and premium certain voices. Thats just my recommendation because most people are not buying premium and deleting right after the uses are finished.

I like to mess with AI voices and make them go haywire but this didn’t satisfy that need, I’m sure it’s fine if you’re not trying to ruin it though

Has mixed but limited use.
I enjoy finding PDF books that can be read to me while I work, a lot of self published stuff from people. I have tried numerous readers and had hoped for the pricey 10$ price tag this would have functioned better.
The PDF reader gives the option to pull the file from your iCloud storage which is fine, however it does NOT save it to this app. Meaning every time you want to pick up where you left off you have to reopen the PDF.
That leads to the second problem absolutely no page #’s are displayed. So even if I wanted to find where it left off I can’t.
It seems to stop after a chapter for me. I get 3-4 minutes of reading tops and it stops reading.
Because it doesn’t save what it was reading, nor a history of where it stopped at and having to continually go back into the app to restart the reading I feel like this app leaves much to be desired for 10$ a month.
The only good thing was the voice reading was very fluid and sounded pretty good. I only wish it was more successful at reading books and saving its place while your phone is in your pocket.
