Frustrated

I downloaded the App keen to use it but the read to me option only worked in some instances and the functionality was very clunky and didn’t work quickly as would be anticipated especially for use with kids.

Well done and thank you

I love this app! For so many reasons: it's Australian, it's not overly stimulating or distracting, it's written to be child friendly, its well made and free, it's easy to use and focuses on the main messages well... Fantastic app!

Love it

My daughter loves this, fun colourful. She likes the songs too. She struggles socially and this really helped her open up to me and discuss the issues she is having. Great app!

Well thought out

We really enjoy this app. My boys have just started school and its helping my ASD child with boundaries and social ettiquette alot

Very helpful

This is a great app for my kids. I have seen them take it all in and they understand alot better now. Have even had other parents ask for it's name etc for their kids..

Great app,

The Allen Adventure is a storybook teaching about self regulation, group norms and actions to take if bullying occurs. Examples of bullying and also the roles of bystanders are addressed, as well as some beginning strategies to help young children (3-8) cope with familiar tough situations that may occur at school. I really like how the developers chose an alien as the star of the book as his situations of being bullied and alternately being the aggressor arise because of not knowing how to act. When taught, Allen the Alien is able to change his actions. I would recommend this book to families and clinicians and will be using it at work as part of my permanent rotation when working on self regulation.
