Great when updated
Outstanding in every way as a source. Well written articles, consistent, and concise. However, app regularly hits blockages and will not update beyond a given date.
Support is questionable - received help once and then never heard back again after a few attempts to follow up as the issue has persisted.

Misinfo
Used to be actual news, still mostly that but tends to spread misinfo with their own spin on it to suit their agenda. Quite disappointing considering they were going down a really good path. Another “OSINT News” network that’s more like CNN or Fox News than actual News
Disappointing
I’ve been keeping up with Atlas on Instagram for a long time and they’re good about keeping up with what’s breaking. However, with the app, website as a whole, articles are wildly inconsistent. For example, with a lot of important news going on right now, their last article was published a month ago. They have potential. Maybe hire more writers because this ain’t it.

Finally they are back. New app looks sick but I’m glad I can read atlas again off social media. I hate social media and I really like Atlas reporting

Atlas News used to be my primary source for news. now this app does not work at all and does not provide any of the information I downloaded it for initially. Do not download this app.

The app literally won’t load anymore. Garbage.
App is deteriorating pt. 2
Update - Altas is transitioning from an objective news platform to an OSINT and OSINT data aggregation firm. Cool, but Atlas news will no longer exist. Original founder “Atlas” posted on the social media account “the war blog” about this on Dec 3, 2024. So long Atlas news, you will be dearly missed.
Before the current update, atlas provided “the brief,” which was very informative, objective, and topically diverse. The brief no longer exists and Atlas publishes much less content on a routine basis. It is December 19th and their last article published to their app was the December 4th Total article production was much higher than now. Curious to know what is going on, hopefully just an interim adjustment. Atlas has been the leader in objective international reporting over the last 4 years.

App is Dead
The app itself hasn’t been updated in months, and there hasn’t been a news article posted in over a month at this point. Don’t waste your time downloading it unless you just want archived information.

Been following for a while on Instagram. Made the switch to the app. Always insightful and well researched analysis. Happy to subscribe. The best there is!
Sept 2024 - Reduced content, not worth it
Since the latest update the frequency and quality of the content has dropped off significantly and it is not worth the price anymore. I had this app since Day 1 and now the last update has gotten rid of the live X-style newsfeed Brief altogether, so updates to world events are no longer in real time. The number of articles has also decreased significantly and some big names are no longer visibly contributing like they were before. Coincidentally, with the new changes they've also made it harder to cancel your subscription. You can no longer manage it yourself by the website and now you have to email them and discuss it with them.

I’ve been following Atlas news since the original instagram account Sub 5k followers. Atlas has always gave its customers a non-biased well written account of what is going on in the world.

Great, but has audio issues
Long time Atlas follower and more recently a subscriber. Great content, but the audio on the app doesn’t play in the background or from your Lock Screen. I’m hoping that changes are implemented so the audio plays in the background/from the Home Screen like Spotify or audible.

I haven’t looked at Atlas is a long while and won’t be using the app much. For a group claiming to report unbiased news there are a lot of opinions written into the stories- making them just another story and not news.
Content behind paywall
Atlas was cool back when it was mainly on Instagram but now they charge money to read the articles they post, which isn’t really worth it to me. I keep the app since they send notifications for updates and then just try to research the topics that seem interesting on google or telegram (which is annoying to have to do)

Rip off
Signed up for a free trail…soon sent an email to cancel as the content was disappointing (you have to sign up via a website and cancel by email) and a week later they still haven’t responded. I’ll have to contact my bank to prevent them from taking a payment once the trial ends.
