Loved it

I have been using this app for almost a month now, i took a subscription as well. I must say I'm enjoying logging as much as I love brewing my coffee.

Some changes I would like to see:

1. Body: there's almost no mention of a major coffee attribute, the body, consistency and mouthfeel of the coffee. I know there's a note section, could use a slide bar for body as well.

2. There should be a separate tab for my analytics. One of the features that led me to subscribe was the analytics of my daily cup. I would like to see it as a separate tab rather than a line above the daily log.

3. The UI is a bit monochromatic, even though there are colour options, they seem to be a little less of them it seems, that is entirely a personal preference for me, just a suggestion, if there could be a bit more contrast.

4. The resting curve is somehow inaccessible to me. I have added roasting date and recommended resting time for all my beans but I never see any resting curve based on my brewing and logging. Am I missing something or is that feature yet to come? I could use some help there.

Overall a great experience. Thank you for this app, it has been very convenient to log my brews and save recipes for each of my beans and brewing methods.

Response from developer

Sorry for the slow reply β€” and thank you, this genuinely made my week. I'm glad it's earned a place in your routine. 🀎 On the rest curve: it's there, under Profile β†’ Stats. Two things usually hide it. It only reads brews linked to a saved bean bag, so you need to pick the bag while logging rather than typing the bean name β€” the roast date on the bag isn't enough by itself. And check the date range at the top of that screen; a short window often doesn't have enough brews to draw from. If that's what happened, it's on me for not making it clearer. Body is a fair hit. It's the one attribute missing next to acidity, sweetness and bitterness, and it's going in as a slider in the same group. Analytics as its own tab is the right call β€” you subscribed for it and it shouldn't be two taps deep. That's on the list. On colour: there's a Custom theme in settings with its own accent and background pickers if you want to push the contrast yourself now. You're not wrong that the built-in presets all sit in a similar range. Thanks for taking the time to write all this out β€” it's more useful than you'd think. Please do reach out at hey@brewlog.xyz; I'd like to hear more about how you're thinking about all of this. πŸ™Œβ˜•οΈ
