Offline visual novel!
fun game, but…
Please find someone to fix the English translation! I really like this game and I want to support its developers but right now it is difficult to justify paying for a game that isn’t very enjoyable.
One of their best games imo
SPOILERS
As others have stated, the MC had a relationship with the lord of the castle all along and lost her baby to a miscarriage, and went crazy over it losing her memory. A lot of people see to be disturbed by the fact that she married a man and had sex at 16, but as people should know, in the olden days, it was common for girls to marry at 16. I was just taking this as a hint that this game is set in the olden days. It sure looks like it in the game. So because I am seeing this game in timeline where this kind of thing was acceptable, it didn’t bother me. The MC didn't appear to upset by any of this too. She loved her baby and looked like she loved the master. They loved each other so much, they both killed themselves so they could be together with their baby. I lost i5 at the end and am still crying.
Aside from the English translation not being very good and lots if typos, overall I thoroughly enjoyed this game and think it’s one of SEEK’s best games. And I’ve played quite a few if them.
It was fantastic until….
*******Spoilers below********
I’m so sick of writers making the conscious choice to have a romance between a literal child and a grown man. Seriously, she was 13 when she met the master who instantly had feelings for her. He then bought her, groomed her, and married her once she turned 16. He got her pregnant at age 16 too. For anyone thinking 16 is old enough, I remember when I was 16 and I was 100% not mentally mature enough to be called an adult. It would have been easy to make her older or him younger. Or figure out some way to have them meet at a different time if they were the same/similar age and the master wasn’t yet old enough to make such a purchase. Either way this ruined it for me. In this day and age you’d think we’d be past the trend of having young girls romantically involved with adult men but I seem to be finding it in this type of media often lately. Just, why?🙄😒
Amazing
a very good game, except for 'the thing'
i played through this whole game (all endings plus the epilogue) in about 8 hours. it's not at all difficult to obtain energy since you can watch ads as many times as you want to gain candles. it takes time to grind for this item, but it's really the only item you really need unless you want the extras. skipping through the text can be a bit of a problem especially when replaying, but it's not that big of an issue to really get in the way of enjoying the game.
-spoilers ahead-
the only thing i didn't enjoy was the explicit implication that the mc and the lord of the castle had a relationship with each other when she was very young. it felt very uncomfortable to have that truth revealed during the last three endings. i understand that it is a dark themed game, so i should expect that there are very dark themes involved. however, i think that a warning should be given out to anyone who is interested in playing since this is a possible trigger for people.
Good game with bad English
Bugged/Unknow
Great except for “that”
The whole.... guy buying a 13 year old girl to groom to be his wife thing really just kind of grossed me out. The whole time, I had this really weird feeling of sexual tension or something between the two, but I was like “No, she’s just 17, he’s an adult who paid to bring her from an orphanage.” But oh no, I WISH he bought a 17 year old from the orphanage to marry. Yeugh.
Great
a thrilling & suspenseful visual novel
my only problem (& the reason why i couldn’t give it 5 stars) is the translation. it’s not good. it took me out of the experience most of the chapters because the translation is simply not good. it’s confusing and distracting. there’s always a phrase or a sentence in the dialogue on every chapter that makes me pause for a minute, read again and try to understand what they meant. literally.
other than that and the uncomfortable topics that might not exactly be.. ‘fun’ reading..
it’s worth giving it a shot if you like dark visual novels and can get past the mistranslation throughout the entire game.
Wonderful
im choking back tears (of happiness)
Caged
But to whoever wants to lay this, def give this a go!
Amazing
One of the best things I’ve played.
I wish there were more endings, but it is enough for me. I just finished the Love Nest Ending and I cried- Making me emotional is a very hard task. Can I find the song used for the ending credits of Love Nest somewhere?
The only advice I have is to translate the game better. There are often grammar errors and mistakes in the dialogue.
Thank you for this wonderful game. I’ll be sure to check out your others.
Amazing game
Disturbing
The beginning was pretty normal for a mystery. A girl with amnesia waking up in a strange castle, then trying to figure out what’s going on. I won’t go into too much detail about the plot but that should give a general idea.
I have to say I enjoyed most of the story. The characters were interesting and the mystery kept you on edge, but the ending destroyed the entire experience for me, to the point where I don’t think I’ll complete other endings.
**spoilers ahead**
It’s revealed that Robin and her “Master” had a relationship even though she’s a minor. She became pregnant but lost the child, which caused her to go crazy.
Now I’m no psychologist, but relationships between adults and young children are NOT okay. Shortly after hearing this “plot twist” and finishing the ending, I had to cut off the game and do my best not to feel sick. I understand that some things may be much more socially acceptable in Japan, but this is a little too much. I wouldn’t have expected seec to create a story like this, and I’m honestly very disappointed and disgusted.
