Good for Fans

One small thing. Books owned, read are tracked properly. Comics doesn’t appear in timeline. They don’t save owned, read. Look into it please.

Response from developer

Thanks for the feedback! We’re aware of a slight issue with the comics and are sorting this out for the next update! 🙏

Real neat app

Super useful being able to track and make sense of which books/comics belong where and what I need to read.
I got a few things I’d love for you to add though that would improve the ‘quality of life things’ in the app;
-being able to see all books without having to search anything up (I can’t see any books listed if I haven’t searched for anything. Makes the filters redundant if I haven’t to search it up anyway for it to show).
-having the same filters for the comics tab that the books have
-able to see comics as grouped by their series instead of just scrolling past each individual chapter

That would be legendary. Thanks.

Definitely worth it!!

This app is a nice way to keep a record of your readings and collections and also to share it with others hehe

Great app for Star Wars book fans!

Last year I started reading Star Wars books. As a life long fan, I wish I had done it sooner! This app is a great companion to keep track of books I own, in the format I own it, books I want, and a way to see which books fall into which part of timeline. The addition of comics has been great to see as well! They pay attention to detail and each update proves that they want to give a great product to its user. Cannot recommend this enough. 🙏

The best app for a Star Wars books fan

The Cantina Archive is the most complete, and the more friendly app for any Star Wars book collector. It help you to track how many book and in which format you read them/ have them. Also it works as a tracker for how much of the book have you read.
I recommend this app! It’s the best one!

The perfect platform for tracking your Star Wars book collection!

It has been such a great, inclusive experience seeing this app developed from an idea to release, and the subsequent updates beyond. The creator has done a great job of taking community suggestions onboard and is constantly rolling out new feature updates to provide us the best possible experience. A+ so far :)

Pretty mediocre

UX of the app is pretty cumbersome. Neat idea but took me a little bit to figure out how to see the full catalogue without searching for a title. Hard to add books to collections because it’s not sorted how I’d like it and mixes books from other eras when I am able to search in release order. Once I go to my own collection it’s all smushed together with no real information / data on the first screen under owned or want etc. personally I regret the purchase.

Great app, but could have quicker updates

The app is pretty good so far. I can log all my Star Wars books in it and see the timeline. The only thing is, is that there hasn’t been any new features in a while so the app kind of gets boring to use. Besides that there hasn’t been anything wrong with the app. There are some missing titles but as long as the app stays updated they should be added in at some point.

Hi there, thanks for your support! I've got a lot of new features in the pipeline and am working to backfill missing titles. Appreciate that there are currently some missing sets. As a sole developer it's taken a little while to get some of the missing titles listed due to personal reasons, but I'm now looking to update the frequency in which new titles are added 😁 If you've got any suggestions or anything you want to see come into the app send me a note via the email address in the Help tab - I'm always open to taking suggestions from the community! Thanks again!

Good start with a few problems

The app is a very fun idea and will keep me interested and adding my books for awhile. However, I immediately noticed gaps in the book selection, most notably the Tales from series. I also think being able to choose the cover art from different variants or even uploading your own cover would be neat. There should also be an option in the settings to hide descriptions of books. I got spoiled by a description while archiving my unread collection. I haven’t messed around with the app enough to understand everything but it’s a great little app, especially if your collection is split between physical and digital.

Also, a question/suggestion; are there plans for omnibus or comics to be added?

Response from developer

Hi there, thanks for your support! We're currently working on adding in missing titles and also the ability for users to upload their own cover art - it's something that has been requested and we're working on it! 😁 Sorry you got spoiled by the description, maybe we can look to add a master toggle somewhere so that users can turn the descriptions on or off if they so choose - great suggestion. Absolutely, we're adding comics, guides, art books and omnibuses soon! Thanks again for your support!

May The Force Be With You

The Star Wars community has been yearning for something like this for ages! And we finally have it! Not only does this app incorporate both Legends and Cannon readers by allowing you to catalogue your owned & read books. It also gives you the timelines of books to explore, helping newer fans. The app has a simple to utilise interface, allowing the best possible experience. Whether you are starting to explore the literary world of Star Wars or are already a faithful fan of it, this is a necessary app to help you explore Star Wars to its fullest potential.

Good and still improving!

I downloaded this app to keep track of my Star Wars books, and it does so excellently! You can look at the canon or Legends timelines of the books in your collection separately, or you can go to their master timeline, containing all books currently listed on the app, where your books will be highlighted alongside those not in your collection. I wish there was an option to just look at your own master timeline, without including the books not in it, but this is perfectly acceptable as well!

You can search by series name for some series (such as The New Jedi Order or Legacy of the Force) but not for others (such as the Thrawn Trilogy). They’re missing some books, but they have a section where they show they’re always adding more and an email address to contact them to let them know any titles they’re missing.

Almost all of the books here are novels; they claim to also list comics/graphic novels, but I haven’t found any. They also don’t contain things which belong neither to the canon or Legends timelines, such as Emma Mieko Chandon’s Visions’ novel “Ronin” or any guide books such as “Star Wars: Atlas” or the “Essential Guide to Warfare”. While these books obviously can’t be included in either timeline, I wish they had their own section.

I think this app still has some work that needs to be done, but it’s definitely a tool that I’ll be using!

Thank the Maker!

Genius App! If you love Star Wars and love reading then this is App for you. Excellent layout and very well designed. Brilliant value for money. I’m always struggling to keep track on what I’m reading and what new releases I should keep my eye on. Not only does this app help but helps organise the books I’ve read and listened to (because Star Wars Audiobooks are the best there is) but also reminds me I’ve read certain books before as I leave a little review of each one. Which other book apps was this helpful and easy user interface. The force is strong with The Cantina Archive!

unfinished — rating very subject to change

obligatory praise for the idea: this app is a great idea and i’m excited to see it develop.

gripes:
the collection system could use refinement. you are unable to set a book as “currently reading” if you don’t add it to your collection. to add it to your collection, you have to set it to “owned,” “read,” “listened,” or “want.” i take the middle to mean “already finished,” and people can read things that they do not own. ergo, you can’t set a borrowed book as your current read unless you stretch the truth, which flies in the face of the purpose of logging. furthermore, if you turn all four settings off after any were turned on, you’re given the message “this book is no longer in your collection” and you’re ejected, forcing you to find it again.

Good start!

Nice way to track my sw reads and what I’m looking forward to. However, still missing several features that would greatly increase usability: would be nice if clicking on collection stats would bring you to the list of books in that stats (list of owned, reads, wants etc). Would also be nice to have more than one book in currently reading, and also to be able to click on that book and be able to open the stars/comments tab directly. Just things that would greatly increase user experience, especially at the current price point of the app. Otherwise cool project, looking forward to what comes next!!

This is where the fun begins.

A substantial, and well thought-out app. The Star Wars book community have been begging for something like this, and finally we have it.
A complete app where users can log what books that have and want, with regular updates with new titles. Definitely a must for any Star Wars book fan.

Let em cook

Off to a great start. Thank you for putting in the time and effort. Keep going! The app is awesome!!!

A great start

I love the concept of this app. The idea of keeping a catalogue of all the SW books at the palm of your hand it’s an amazing idea, nevertheless, I feel there is a few adjustments that are needed. Luckily, the developers are eager to improve the app, so it’s a solid start for a promising future

It’s a great app, however, there’s a lot of stuff that isn’t in here yet. ):
