Amazing Game!! Need more!
I’m a third of the way through and I’m finding it very hard to put the game down. It has a brilliant story and the puzzles are the perfect difficulty. I was not expecting to love this game so much however, just as in UnusualAlbatross’ review, I’ve noticed some errors and spelling mistakes. I’m playing ‘in the web of the spider’ and in the last sentence it’s missing the word ‘killed’ before ‘Kirthi Bandara’. I was confused for ages because I couldn’t work out what I was doing wrong. Without the word ‘killed’ the sentence didn’t make sense. I needed to look up a walkthrough. I ended up finding more mistakes, particularly in the very last case. Again, I had to look up a walkthrough because the grammatical errors meant the puzzle made no sense. Please fix it because I want to give the game 5 stars.

Incredible ending!!
Through the game, you think you’re solving individual puzzles with some lingering elements and characters here and there between levels. Towards the end of the game thinks start to come together and you learn more about the recurring characters and the mysterious golden idol. At the end, everything comes together in such an incredible way that ties up all the loose ends from previous levels. I was shocked how well they pulled off the final reveal. I LOVED this game and am super excited to start the DLC and the sequel.

Keeps you thinking
I wasn’t sure what I was getting into, having never heard of the game before. But it is a great epic story that you have to unfold through deduction and looking for the important clues.

Simply Spectacular
I have never written a game review before, but this little game simply blew me away. Not your typical mobile game, this game actually makes you think and reach your own conclusions. You have to piece together the story for yourself which makes for an a really rewarding experience. The story is in the details, which in the end all come together to wrap the story together in really unexpected ways. Could not recommend it strongly enough

This game’s intricately stylised art style, incredibly interesting and intriguing story and masterfully crafted innovative and challenging deductive puzzles are top-notch, and this and its sequel are possibly the greatest puzzle games ever made. The dark, gruesome setting puts you into a detective’s shoes to use your intuition in supreme adventures of crime. The expertly made logic puzzles are great at making you think, and creating an unparalleled satisfying moment when you solve them to solve the overarching mystery of cults, murder and mysterious magic artefacts. This game, as well as its DLCs with even better and more difficult puzzles, with detailed self-contained stories, truly create an unmatched experience. If you still have any doubt about getting it, just trust me when I say this: Play. This. Game.

A unique experience
This game is satisfying and a very unique experience. I preferred playing on iPad rather than phone to see more details. I love the way the cases all connected. I highly recommend
Best puzzle game ever
Absolutely loved this game. Could not put it down. This game was soo addictive and the story is so well connected throughout the chapters. It’s super important to remember and recall faces, facts, and the conclusion of each chapter.

One of my favorite games ever, with one huge caveat…
The last puzzle of the Lemurian Vampire DLC has a huge and very frustrating typo that makes the solution for the first scroll much harder to get. In these types of games, you want the player to be able to fill in the puzzle the second they put all the pieces together. The rest of the puzzles do a great job of that, this one is unnecessarily frustrating. On top of that, I spent a lot longer with scroll #4 than I needed to because I had the right answer but the game wanted me to phrase it in a different way.
Besides that unfortunate bit of frustration near the end, this is a must play. It’s got one of the most engaging stories I’ve ever played with each chapter escalating it in a completely shocking way, and the puzzles all feel so satisfying to solve. I can’t wait to see where this franchise goes!

On another level
The game is amazing. Great story and relevant to our times when authoritarianism and greed threaten the world. The characters are all sociopaths and you kind of cheer when one of them dies. It actually takes thought to figure out each chapter. The artwork is fun, too. This game's only flaw is its Netflix requirement.

Ce jeux est la suite de « the rise of the golden idol » qui lui est codé correctement. Cette version s’avère pratiquement injouable sur iPad, trop lourd, trop lent et qui plante régulièrement. C’est dommage, car l’histoire semble plus convaincante et plus difficile avec la limitation à 3 vérifications des erreurs (attention !). Je m’accroche pour avancer quand même.

Look past the art and enjoy and incredible mystery
I love the setting, the puzzles, and the plot. I didn't love the art, but after awhile it disappeared and I was absorbed by the world and figuring out the blanks. The puzzle system doesn't hand you the answer, but is pretty good at giving you the information you need. There's a puzzle system that first tries to get you to solve on your own and eventually gives really good hints. I think I used one hint throughout the game, but I'm huge on solving things myself.
Highly recommended! (I played on PC with a gamepad, but I assume the iPad experience is similar or better with touch.)

Molto intrigante
All’inizio sembrano eventi sconnessi tra loro, alla fine invece c’è una narrazione collegata con dettagli e misteri anche molto complicati alle volte che intrattengono molto. Le ambientazioni anche mi sono piaciute molto, e devo dire che tutti e 3 i racconti seppur il primo sia il migliore, intrattengono molto.

Such a clever and original idea
I really enjoyed this. A lot of playtime, I loved using my brain rather than it being a straight forward point and click. Between this and the sequel, I spent a good couple of weeks on these games. Can’t wait to see what the developer does next!
