This isn't a streamer turning out content with the occasional winner. It's called Criterion for a reason. But it also makes room for amazing films and shows that go beyond the top 100 lists. So good.
Love the Films, Hate the iPad App
Huge fan of the Criterion Channel in general, but it has the worst off-line video management that I’ve ever seen in a streaming service. I frequently travel and download movies to watch on the plane and the amount of times I get a playback error after downloading is ridiculous. I’m then stuck unable to watch anything or download another movie. There’s also no communication on how much time you have left before the download expires so I just have to guess or check each download individually before going somewhere without Wi-Fi. PLEASE criterion fix this issue! It’s gotten so bad. I’m seriously considering not renewing my subscription this year.

Download issues
It has been years and they still have not addressed the issue with downloads. Often films are successfully downloads but you will not be able to playback. The app is useless for those who travel with an iPad…
