Senior opinion
I’ve experienced decades of the evolution of the LDN. When there is an outcry of “fake news” in the deluge of alternative media I can be assured of the facts as reported by accredited editors and journalists who live by a code of ethics.
I miss the good old days but support your struggle against those who want complete dominance for their propaganda .

We are very fortunate that the Lee Corporation has allow our beloved TDN continue. So many smaller communities have to do without! Many complain about digital, but it’s the sign of the times. Thank you all you hard-working journalists!

Worst digital news app and content contributor. Does not allow comments. Apparent lack of editing and so incredibly liberal.
Too expensive
I refuse to pay the price you are asking for a subscription. I was a loyal customer from the 1960’s forward. Tdn was always an affordable local paper. Sadly that’s just not the case anymore more.

Worse app Ever
Wouldn’t let me open y article after paying the 27.99. Apple wont refund me it’s a joke they just take your money for a useless product.

$24.99/month for the local gossip because they can’t even get their facts right. Gotta feed into sensationalism right? No thanks. I really only used this to keep up on the police blotter and obituaries anyway after getting sick of all the poor reporting.

Why have an App that won’t allow you read anything unless you subscribe?? Absolutely pointless.

I’m on a iPad. I’ve called 3 times now and can’t get in. It’s almost worthless. No back arrow on the home page. No login anywhere that I can see. Adds keep popping up. Where the no stars button.
No news
Their breaking news stories are always from days before. Hardly any content because I assume they want you to buy the paper or ton pay for their digital subscription. It’s pointless and a waste of space. Deleting it.

Oppressive ads and juvenile reporting
Like local newspapers, I’ve watched this app get worse and worse over time to the point it’s about useless. Having to watch 3 full 30 second commercials (at least mute the audio by default!) to read four snippets of articles written by high school sophomores (based on the quality of prose) is inexcusable.
If the ads don’t go away or at least get improved on so that they are less obtrusive then this app is headed to the trash bin.

I like to look at the tdn app for the news every morning. This app keeps closing its self! I can't even look at it! I'm very upset about this update. I want this app fixed now !
Can I rate negative stars?
New update did not fix my previous issue. Just scrolling through the list STILL opens ads in Safari. Really annoying! Seriously...fix the darn app! As all other reviewers have said, you cannot even scroll through the list of articles or read an article without some ad tracker or the App Store opening. If you're going to have an app, MAKE IT WORK!!!

Spam galore
Seriously, you guys need to fix this. The app takes you to the App Store or into Safari without pressing anything.
App Store opens constantly!!
Without even tapping the ads the App Store opens. When trying to scroll down, the App Store opens. This is not worth the frustration of trying to even read one story!
Ridiculously Annoying
Accidentally click an ad and it loads four tabs or so, and takes fifteen seconds or more to do it. Stupid and unusable.
Worse over the years
The app always redirects you to the App Store or some advertising tracking link in Safari. I've had enough and deleted this app.
Ads Won't go away!
Seriously I can't even scroll through the stories without having a hundred ads open. And the ads open in safari so it takes me completely out of the app altogether. Very frustrating, just go to the website to read the paper for free.
