Best Safari Guide App
Still the best Safari Guide when traveling to South Africa. Easy to track your sightings and add own pictures. Looks like that the developers have stopped further improvements. If they do, I would ask for an option to 1/ share sighting lists and 2/ add own animals.
Animal sounds play to fast so animals do not sound realistic
The app itself is nicely designed, informative and will accompany us on our safari.
Unfortunately, the animal sounds are played too fast, so they sound a bit hectic. The lions, cheetahs and elephants never sounded like that in nature. It is really a pity.
Therefore, unfortunately, only 3 stars.
I hope that will be fixed soon.

Pretty impressed
This is a handy app for tracking species spottings on safari - it does exactly what it says : runs without internet/cell connectivity and allows the user to search, cross search and make notes about each spotting. It didn’t have all species like an updated guidebook would but I used similar species as placeholders to correct later. Fabulous to have GPS coordinates!!

Gut gemacht
Habe vor der Safari geschaut, welche Apps es so gibt und bin auf diese hier gestoßen. Prima gemacht, alle Tiere die wir gesehen haben waren dabei und die App lässt sich sehr leicht bedienen. Die detaillierten Beschreibungen und die guten Bilder haben einen gedruckten Safariführer überflüssig gemacht und Gepäck gespart. Interessant sind auch die Tierstimmen, die ich bei ein gedruckter Führer nicht liefern kann. Top!
