Can’t access subscription material
I’ve been a paid subscription user since November. It’s May, and I STILL struggle to get access to the material. This is the most frustrated I have been with any app EVER. Customer support has been contacted multiple times. I’ve been able to gain access, but the very next time all the content is locked back up. Ugh!

Shady Sales Practices
I purchased the app over a year ago thinking it was a one-time fee & was never informed it was a subscription nor how to cancel. The app was always a little finicky so I rarely used it. This year comes around & a random company that the GNB contracts with charged my card without prior authorization. I reached out to see why I was charged a random fee 2x my initial subscription amount without any explanation, and GNB said to contact their Sales Direct team Hussle Tech. Hussle Tech was 0% helpful, would not disclose when or how they received payment information and insisted that even though I believed I cancelled my account, it was still active. They also would not honor the terms of their supposed contract. You can only cancel through an obscure desktop link that wasn’t provided prior to renewal. I am not even angry that I was subscribed and had no idea - I am angry that GNB would sell our information to a third party and not tell us or update their terms accordingly prior to updated subscription renewal. I am also concerned that they would increase their pricing without informing their customers. Poor business practice. DO NOT PURCHASE from this company.

Never purchasing again.
If I could give it less than 1 star I would. I feel scammed out of my money, because I paid for the “premium” or “pro” version of the app, yet every time I open the app, I am locked out of all the features I have access to. Even when it gets fixed, the next time I open it, I will once again be locked out of the premium features I PAID for.
And if you forget your password, don’t even try to reset it. You will get sent in a circle of emails, that will then log you into your account without letting you reset your password first - so that you can go into the settings on your account and change your password - but here’s the catch - you have to put in your CURRENT password to change it to a new one, which if you have forgotten it, and is why you are trying to change it in the first place, leaves you right where you started.

I’m not sure what the deal is with this app but I’ve never experienced the level of frustration with an app as I have with this one. I can’t log in- can’t change my password because I don’t remember the old one. If the email helps me log in, still can’t change the password and can’t access the pro features because it would load. I’ve been a paying member for quite a long time and haven’t been able to access anything or if I can it’s a total fluke. I’ve reached out to customer service/support and it takes several days to respond and it’s just a bounce back that doesn’t come anywhere near solving the problems. Long story short- fix it, help me fix it, keep it fixed or give me my money back.

Love the content but…
It does not load the full content. When I first logged in, it did. But now it doesn’t properly refresh. So frustrating. Support just tells me to log out and login again. I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve done this.
Doesn’t connect to account
I couldn’t create an account on the app, so I did it online and I’ve tried about 25 times to log in, even updated my password again and it still won’t allow me to sign in. There is no Q&A about this issue, although I now see in the review that it’s common.
I am also not understanding why over and over on Instagram they advertise it’s “free” but all the emails and things popping up on the website are selling stuff and trying to have me earn a 30% discount. Feels like the intent is different than advertised and is more about money than learning and growing together like I originally thought

Couldn’t login
Tried to create an account on the app which you aren’t able to do. So then I went online to create the account. Then I tried to login with the account I created on the website. That didn’t work so then I just deleted it all together.
Pushing Sales
Not happy with the pushy sales. My notifications are much about buying stuff.
Love Inklings BUT
I have had trouble getting any response to get the app fixed. Weeks go by then I get one email requesting information I sent a week ago. I tried to call 3 times NEVER a response.
Frustrating
Cancelling this app was a huge pain. One enrolls in the app outside of Apple so there is no notification through apple of the charges. Nor can you cancel through apple. There are no instructions anywhere on how to cancel. I finally received a response from the developer and received 8 steps to cancel. The inklings group was no longer meeting my needs, as much as I wanted it to. It shouldn’t be hard to cancel a subscription. I truly felt like I was being financially taken advantage of by members and leaders of my own church. Affinity crime: get me in and make it near impossible to get out.

Doesn’t work
I just downloaded the app today. I used my login that I use on the good news website just to have something to use to sign in as there was no create an account option. No luck! No way to create an account with the app so I just deleted altogether.
Updated Review
So a few months ago I gave this app 1 star. It’s clunky and I can’t see the text so I always have to grab my glasses which I don’t have to for other apps. I also couldn’t ever check “complete”.

I figured out finally how to at least glance through all the comments and everything so it shows I am connecting with content - and I can check “complete”. I use my glasses, now I can see the very light and little text. I also LOVE that I can go to the Thursday instagram live on YouTube and pause and it will save my place. I can’t ever watch live.
Finally, based on all the content alone this app is going to get 5 stars. I can go back and find discussions on subjects such as Temple, Priesthood, Grace, Proclamation and MANY MORE. thank you for having this all easily available on the app.
Love Inklings - worth the $30 ish dollars per year!

Stopped working
This app was great until it stopped loading. I worked with support for a week sending them screen shots and recordings, and they were never able to get it working again. I’m so sad because being able to watch inklings in 2x speed with the ability to rewind and fast forward was the best thing about this app.

Cancel issues
Just FYI, your card will be charged every month. I wasn’t aware of that. I cannot find a simple way to cancel so my card stops getting charged. I had to contact customer support. Otherwise, the app works fine.

For those who are having difficulty, I recommend you check your browser settings, or just ask for some help.
Downloading and printing from the App is easier than you can imagine.
I also like to put a copy of the work books into Good Notes. This allows me to use iPad AND write with Apple Pencil on documents without printing.... but I do print too.
I love what has been created for us. Thank you again for your hard work and drive to share Gospel knowledge with so many... so much easier than most of us ever thought possible.

Hard to Use
Love Inklings! But this hard is really clunky. How do you print the workbooks? Miss getting them online to print. Was much easier.
