Exactly what I needed in season
The guided devotionals have been especially meaningful. They have brought me so much peace, encouragement, and healing as I've been seeking to grow closer to the Lord. This app truly feels like an answer to prayer, and I'm so grateful I found it.

It’s not actually free AT ALL
When I first downloaded it, I started doing stuff out and thought “I wonder what the catch is because this seems too good to be true”. Turns out, it is too good to be true. After filling out all my info, my goals, what I feel I am looking forward to from this app, etc., it says that it’s $69.99/year to use. I looked everywhere on the app for any sort of free version and nothing.

We never want cost to keep anyone from spending time in Scripture, that’s a core belief of ours. That brings us to the Grace Program. If the price is a concern, we would love to give you access at whatever price is comfortable through our Grace Program. We allow our community to simply tell us what they can pay, even if that is nothing at all. No proof or explanation required. This has helped me develop a more thoughtful routine prayer life and has supported me through a very difficult season of my life. The Good Word helps you find the right scripture to combat against current life struggles; like stress, worry, grief, and relationship turmoil. I highly recommend downloading The Good Word today to build up your daily prayer life; guided by Dayne of Litwithprayer and other trusted Christian leaders.
The Good Word: A Great App for Spiritual Development
The pathways are helpful when you need a devotional specific to your current circumstance and mental space. I found the ones I’ve done on grief to provide doctrinal depth, Scriptural focus, and grounded encouragement (they weren’t just fluff, as it can often be with this topic). I loved that there was a way to also reflect with it directly at the end of each day through my own notes and personal response.
You can read the Bible directly from the app, which also houses all the resources needed to dive deeper. The study tools allow you to cross reference Bible translations and even review original text and language used all in one place to grow in deeper biblical context and understanding.
There are milestones and awards for sticking to a routine and study which is an extra dopamine hit to keep you studying/growing in the Word.
There’s even a place to have continued conversation on where you find yourself spiritually and how to find passages relating to your current need.
If you’re looking for a Bible app that also houses the tools to nurture your spiritual development, while continuing to develop with you to accommodate your further growth, this app is your one stop shop.
