The Good Word: A Great App for Spiritual Development
The Good Word App is a Biblical resource that can accompany every level of spiritual growth.
The pathways are helpful when you need a devotional specific to your current circumstance and mental space. I found the ones I’ve done on grief to provide doctrinal depth, Scriptural focus, and grounded encouragement (they weren’t just fluff, as it can often be with this topic). I loved that there was a way to also reflect with it directly at the end of each day through my own notes and personal response.
You can read the Bible directly from the app, which also houses all the resources needed to dive deeper. The study tools allow you to cross reference Bible translations and even review original text and language used all in one place to grow in deeper biblical context and understanding.
There are milestones and awards for sticking to a routine and study which is an extra dopamine hit to keep you studying/growing in the Word.

Best Bible app out there!!
After using multiple Bible apps, I can confidently say The Good Word is my favorite! Its customizable options are unlike any other I’ve seen which personalizes the experience so much more. And it’s very user friendly and enjoyable to use 🙏🏼

God’s Presence Felt
I cannot say enough about this program layout and structure. You can feel God’s presence as soon as you download and launch. Colby Maier is a true worker from God and it shines so bright in this app. What you learn and feel can shape your life in the way it was meant to be lived. The goal for everyone everyday is to find a way to get closer to God and this is such a great way to implement that practice. I would give this 100 stars if possible! KEEP DOING GOD’S WORK!!

The Good Word is a great way to build a daily rhythm in the Bible, engage in spiritual formation, and to explore what the Bible has to say about day-to-day struggles. I’ve really appreciated the thought that Colby and the other teachers have put into the devotionals, the guided prayers, and the other content. Definitely worth the investment!
