Good puzzles!

Started playing this after seeing the developer n Jeopardy. The puzzles is great, and reminiscent of other circuit completion puzzles like Nikoli Slitherlink, and Kaser’s Willa’s Walk.

So why four stars?

The app itself feels like a minimum-viable product and could use a little more work. In particular, the lack of an undo/redo button is not great. I find myself having to hit reset if I paint myself into a corner and would prefer to tap undo a few times.

Also when you start the app up, you have to do some menu diving to get to your last puzzle. This shouldn’t require more than a single tap.

Great suggestions! We used to have undo/redo, but replaced it with pencil mode. I will seriously consider putting it back in. The comment about menu diving is right on the money, and I will definitely implement it. Glad you saw me on Jeopardy! Especially glad you shared your suggestions.

Fun Game

Would be 5 stars, but I can't seem to go back and re-play completed puzzles? I love the minimal interface.

Good suggestion. I didn't think people would want to replay completed puzzles, but of course it makes sense.

Gute Rätsel, wirkt aber noch unfertig

Rätsel sind gut.

Aber obwohl ich „Musik aus“ eingestellt habe, beginnt die Musik nach einem fertigen Rätsel wieder zu spielen und unterbricht das Hörbuch, dass ich hören will.

Good game, but…

A good, challenging puzzle game. But there’s no reason for it to run as hot or burn through my battery like it does. So what’s it doing in the background?

Thanks for the feedback. We use profiling tools to measure energy consumption, as well as using the app on a variety of devices, and we haven't ever seen this behavior. If you get a chance, please send some additional information to info@goodthinkinggames.com. Great game to keep you sharp

I forgot about this game for a bit, after I got a new phone - but I do hope it is doing well l - as I am not getting back to it and getting addicted again! :)

Fun game, 95% of it is behind a paywall

Figured out how it works only to be confronted with a paywall to access the rest of the game and I can’t seem to replay any of the old levels

Très bien, mais peu de contenu gratuit

C’est un très bon jeu je trouve, stimulant c’est vraiment sympa, mais le jeu ne limite qu’à une catégorie sur 17, donc ça ne revient qu’à 50 puzzles, ce qui est trop peu. De plus impossible de refaire de précédents niveaux sans désinstaller l’appli

Nice game, price too high

It took me very little time to go through a set of problems I was charged for. Doesn’t make sense, and not in line with the cost of other games.

Thanks for your feedback. We're committed to being a free app, but we do need some revenue! Stay tuned and we'll see what we can do. Update: We've made all puzzles free, and introduced infrequent ads to make it feasible to continue to support the app.

Great game but the scoring is confusing

I love this game! Unfortunately I don’t understand how it’s scored. At the end of each level a percentage is given based on the number of grid spaces in the puzzle, however it’s unclear what the scoring criteria are.

Still worth every penny since it’s satisfying enough to solve the puzzles.

A very challenging game and nicely designed!

The maximum score for a puzzle is based on the number of grid cells, as you noted. Depending on how hard the puzzle is, there's a time delay before the score starts going down. It's purely based on solving time.

Amazing Game (with bugs)

The game is a great idea (how could you go wrong with an NP-complete problem), and the puzzles are designed well too :).

However, it seems in the newest update, many of the levels that I'd already finished are now marked incomplete. So, the packs I was in the middle of are now especially difficult to navigate.

Moreover, while the pencil mode is super helpful, in hex puzzles it does not connect with the normal drawing mode, leaving a pretty significant discontinuity.

Our new version is a complete rewrite, and we've worked really hard on quality. All of the puzzles are free. We introduced occasional ads, but they're infrequent, skippable, and can be eliminated. I hope you give it another try.

$18 for the full game?

In my opinion, the price is steep for such a minimal game.

Additionally, you cannot play the “giant” levels on iphone devices, you HAVE to have an ipad? Why can’t the dev just let us zoom in?

Nearly Impossible levels require guessing?

Love the game, I’m playing thru a second time. But I feel like some of the Nearly Impossible levels can’t be solved without guessing. Is that true? I feel like I’ve learned all of the tricks to solve.

Thanks for the feedback! It is possible to solve every puzzle without guessing, but it isn't easy. Pencil mode will make it easier to explore possible paths, and there's a new Puzzle of the Day subscription option. It's available now on iOS 15!

Thanks very much for reporting that. We've overhauled how we track puzzle completion and will thoroughly test it before the upcoming V2 release. Sorry you had that experience. We have tens of thousands of users and this is the first report we've had of this issue, but that doesn't make it OK.

Dump the timer

The puzzles are enjoyable , but the timer and the insulting scores it generates ruin the fun. So I took a couple minutes, can't I just enjoy it? Finished the free puzzles then deleted it.

Brilliant game

There’s very few bells and whistles, but this is pure puzzling at its best. Simple to learn, but increasingly challenging. You get a decent amount of free puzzles, and the paid ones are reasonably priced. Although all the puzzles take the same form, progression is excellent. So far I’ve completed just over 570 of them, with each one taking between 1 and 5 minutes. It’s a great way to while away the time. There are plenty of far flashier games in the App Store, but very few that are as satisfying as this.

Great game.

Great game. Adding 2 features would make it perfect. 1) An undo button, with the ability to undo an unlimited number of moves. 2) “Guess” mode. Sometimes you get to a point where you can’t figure out the next move to make. In those cases it would be super useful to be able to switch to guess mode where the lines you draw are a different color or something. If you proceed with drawing additional lines after the guess and encounter a contradiction you know your original guess was wrong and you can then undo all your guess moves and try something else.

Thanks for the great ideas! We recently released guess mode (also known as pencil mode). We think it eliminates the need for undo - the concepts kind of overlap.
