Love reading

Almost ten years and still my preferred Buisness news paper, it all started eith the weekly stock recommendations but now I read the full newspaper ( online) along with my morning cup of tea.

Precise and Timely

Your reporting of the business news covering both Macro and Micro aspects is precise and timely and easy to understand.
May I suggest you to cover analysis of more Companies in your Portfolio section covering two companies on Saturdays and Two companies on Sundays?

Subscription

Subscription being actived many disruptions on the ground that my subscription had expired per management record and can be verified from the management record in the correspondence made buy me. I was asked to submit the date on which payment was made, and the date from which the subscription had started. But I only knew the expiry date that was on 11th of March 2026..
To cut the story short I was unable to access access to all papers which I could have access my subscription options that you mentioned all access for more than three months in a period of nine
months. To my goodluck I once again called on phone to ask for the position of my issues The Executive said Sir your subscription is active as per my information. She very kindly revised my access to the the Hindu group publication against my all access subscription and she walked that extra mile to make account active.
I am a regular subscriber to this
Excellent group of
Hindu group of papers and have never faced such type of hurdle in the past.
I want to make a request to the management that the executive who was responsible to
to make my
account active should be appreciated. But for her I would not have review renewed my subscription, which is due to lapse on 11th of March2026.
Such executive are
an asset to the management

Clicking on notifications doesn’t open the actual story, just the homepage

Infuriating bug in the app (at least on iOS). You get a banner notification, click on it, and the app does not open that story; it opens the home page. Agreed, Businessline is a great newspaper, but this bug will ensure that I won’t renew my subscription.

Not so good. Not so bad

I’m a copywriter and I’m a marketer, also a second year student so does provide me “needed” content but its on you if you like it. Good. If you dont, then submit a review. Might help me too.

Account Details to update

Not sure this app is designed in such a way , it won’t work if you want to update your subscription details. However, it prompts in such a way to pay for subscription as many times as you login

Poor updation and frequent app issues

The updation of articles are pretty low when compared to other leading business journals. Besides, after the latest update, My Account section is completely blank. Being a premium subscriber, I’m unable to read premium articles from my mobile which ultimately defeats the purpose of subscription. BL needs to raise the bar.

Better, but need improvement

App should have features to change the font and background colour for better reader experience like the one available in the reader mode in Safari or in chrome.

The new version is definitely better

The renewed app is definitely better than earlier version, using trail version for now, I may go for paid version after trail period. The problem mentioned below of ad appearing between body of article has definitely been solved, editorial content is really good.

This app version does not have any options for using paid subscription, news can be read, however ads are shown to n between news body, there is no way to clear ad, so content beneath ad cannot be read. Looks like no updates have been done to app in past 2 years

Link in an article redirecting to website

When someone clicks on a link in the article, it is being redirected to website, for which we have to login again. So, see that click on the link takes us to the page in the app only, just like NYTimes does.

Only one more suggestion. Guys please give descriptions on the subscription page as in what’s the difference between the digital and full version etc, it’s not showing any detail on subscription page on iphone or website.

No login option / Poor experience

I am not sure if this application deserves 2 stars. Extremely poor experience of reading and surfing through. Out of nowhere — “Network status - The app is online” pop-up keeps annoying once in 30 secs. Unable to login and stop ads.

Not optimised for iPhone 13

News articles from “notifications” open blank. No content other than ads and then similar articles suggestions.
Even from home page top section of every article just above the ad is curtailed. Please update the otherwise very good app.

No ad free feature

No option to log available in the app to access ad free content. Even if you have paid subscription to The Hindu publication. Kindly rectify this issue and provide ad free experience to subscribers

Allow login option

I have purchased Hindu all content access which gives me add free content on Business Line web, but in app there is no option to login and hence I see ads all over even after paying for subscription.
