Lacks basic user functionality
Screen orientation is locked to portrait. Requests for orientation functionality have fallen on deaf ears. I have sent suggestions to the developers to no avail. (Minus one star for this…) Other user functionality that is not addressed is the use of bluetooth pedals. I use AirTurn bluetooth pedals and they work on EVERY OTHER metronome app. Pedals work for a moment, and then it places a cursor in the BPM number on the metronome page. No way to get this “out” of the “edit” mode without touching the screen with your finger; hence, totally negating the reason for the pedals. (Minus one star for this…) The good is: it is a plan, so multiple users can use it to practice without passing a device around. Our church uses this for all drummers and all services. It has a great count in (although, it sometimes glitches), multiple time signature options, and easy recall from songs already in your “master” list (finally). Would I recommend it? Short answer: no. Long answer: if you don’t care about screen orientation or inability to use bluetooth pedals, yes. Good luck, and happy drumming!
UPDATE 1/25/25: Still no landscape layout, still glitches (I automatically close the app and restart it every time I get on stage to avoid the “munchkin” count in glitch), and, lately, it doesn’t save songs in the “song list” when you create them- or maybe every once in a while at best.
Still my least favorite temp app that is more concerned about you buying their accessories than listening to users. If it is ever up to me, we are ditching this app at our church…
UPDATE 6/9/26: In grand Soundbrenner fashion, they continue to make trash apps. This lovely little gem seems to not be cross-platform friendly. As I am typing this from my MacBook Pro, I can’t even edit my setlist by searching my archive! I’m not even joking! It will NOT let me put a cursor into the search bar to type a song title…lol! I thought they couldn’t outdo themselves when they didn’t allow spaces between words when searching, but I stand corrected! This is by far the worst app I’ve ever been forced to use (church uses it). Well, I guess I’ll use my phone to make the setlist. Here’s crossing my fingers that my MacBook will sync…I’m guessing that’s the next thing to go…But, hey! You can change the color of the instrument! Yay…
UPDATE 7/15/26: Absolute trash app. The whole update promise just is not happening. You can’t search your master list for song title; it is, literally, impossible to place the cursor in the search bar. I have to use a phone and then sync my MacBook in order to use it live. If you only want to use a phone or tablet, I’m sure this will be amazing - oh, wait! It won’t! There is a reason I started using this app on my MacBook because the Lollipop Guild from The Wizard of Oz sometimes counts off, the screen orientation prohibiting landscape mode, and well…being able to read the app is important are the main ones. If your church, group, etc. is considering this, don’t. There are free apps that are better than this, and I can’t say enough bad things about it. If I have ANY say in continuing with this awful app, we will ditch it as fast as we can…
