Dont waste your time get the full version
So limited is is useless, seach does not work for simple groups like ‘dove’. Get the full version which is a 4/5 stars

Exporting from lists
I paid for this app many years ago so have definitely got my money’s worth out it. Use it all the time and love it.
However recently I can’t export my bird lists as I used to be able to which is really really unhelpful as I recorded species as I used the coordinates to be able to map distribution and now I’m having to add coordinates manually into a csv. Can someone advise if this app is no longer being supported.

Free version crashes when trying to open the menu.

The app had some difficulties that I think you could fix but it is so cool and helpful
Crashes on opening
I wanted to check out the lite version before purchasing the full $30 version but given its 4 years old it probably shouldn’t be a surprise that it doesn’t work. It won’t even open.
Full reference version needs more thought
Bought the expensive full version but found that the version registered under my purchases was mislabelled as the LITE version. Unable to family share this expensive app with my wife and found that all attempts to do so resulted in only the useless Lite version being shared!
The search index was particularly poor so for example a search for all kingfishers in the top end failed to highlight the buff breasted paradise kingfisher as the search engine cannot cope with hyphenated words. Similarly the variety of bird calls failed to capture the commonest calls of many species. The illustrations exclude any photographs of birds and comprise only line drawings.
Despite numerous emails, the authors support team failed to resolve my issues with sharing the reference app. As an experienced birder, I cannot recommend this version and hope that this 2 year old app is shortly to be extensively revised.

Brilliant work
This app rocks.
I was told this version was free...
I read on the full version that this smaller version could be tried for free, so you could see if you liked the way the app felt. As such, I am quite unhappy to have been charged $7.99 for it....
Clumsy navigation
The application has reasons detail but I found the menu system clumsy and awkward. Good effort though
Terrible Support
I paid for and downloaded the app a few years ago. Great app. It disappeared and I downloaded the light version. No record of me having downloaded the full version before, so I paid for it AGAIN and seem to have got the lite version again. MMM. Lots of money, ordinary service.

This app is excellent! Now only does it have good pictures and information, it also includes sounds of different calls they birds make.
Ok not Great
This is a good app for Australian bird which it allows you to manage lists of the your findings in the field. However it has a more than a few bugs, and the bird that appears in the the icon the 'Regent Bowerbird' is not even listed in the app!?
A useful app
This Lite edition seems to function well. I am an American with limited knowledge of Australian birds. This app only describes 59 birds. However, they are well described. There are a number of color illustrations of each species, male and female. There are also nest illustrations. Many species have vocalizations available. There are detailed range maps available, in color. There is also a substantial amount of text describing each species. There is also a search function which allows you to find a bird based on features, appearance, color, etc. The app also apparently allows you to specify your home range. All in all, a good app. Full app is rather pricey, but may be worth it.

Very limited app
This may be good for the casual or first time spotter - but for even semi-serious bird watchers this app will disappoint. Only 1 Cockatoo listed for Australia - seriously?
The own bird listing function is useful as is the bird calls. This is a good database but very short of birds . Don't buy it.

Lite too limited, full seriously over-priced
There are 59 birds listed in the Lite version and that's for all of Australia. What there is may be interesting enough but the scope is far far too limited. The idea of course is to buy the full version - which may be very good but at £21 British money is vastly vastly over-priced. A shame, I'd've bought it had it been reasonably priced. As it is, the Lite version is no good for general birdspotting and is therefore frustrating. I'm deleting it.

Looks like it could be a great app. Have been told the paid version is very good. I decided to trial the free version before buying but couldn't get it too work so won' t bother with paid version.
