Ads and ridiculous pricing model
Game is interrupted by the first video-ad not even 1 minute in. Pricing is subscription only. For an adventure game. Is this for real?
Ads… can we say lots of ads
I would really like to get into the game, however, seems like more ads then play time. Reduce the ads and the rating will go up or give a pay option that is a fair economic exchange.
You must buy the game to play the whole game which they don’t say
I been playing this game and all of a sudden I get to a point I must pay in order to continue to play the game don’t waste your time playing if you don’t have $10 to spend on the game!

Seemed like a decent free game, until I got to the mansion and in reality it is a paid game. $10! This is why I put “update” in the title, as it’s quite expensive and there are much better adventure/puzzle games out there. For example, games by Studio Wakaba, nicolet, and Haiku Games/Adventure Escape Mysteries. Hope this helps!

Ads constantly popping up & items disappear
Really annoying experience with ads constantly popping up, interrupting extremely brief game play, before yet another ad interferes. Has a briefcase to collect items along the way & noticed items have suddenly gone missing from the briefcase preventing you from taking the next step. Complete waste of time.

Don’t waste your time. You just get into game only to get just outside the manor and you have to pay $4.99 to get into the manor . No pay means end of game. Not paying your ransom money. Deleting game. Bad as scammers.

Played not knowing there was a fee to finish the game. Wasted a lot of time. Disappointing.
Don’t spend the money
I bought the game and beat it under an hour. Not worth the money spent and if I could get a refund I would. So short and I would play the next one but I refuse to. Overly expensive for such a short gameplay
Mystery of haunted hollow
So it gets to a point where you have to purchase hints & skips before you can continue to play. Was doing just fine without them so this is just a way to make you pay for the game smh!!
Fun but gimmick
It’s quite fun, but it fails to tell you that eventually you will hit a paywall and can’t finish, nice to know this before you start.
Ugh
Oh for goodness sake - just charge $4.99 for your dang app instead of trying to trick players into spending money by giving them no choice but to pay part way into the game. This is an insulting and dishonest approach. Ugh.
Had to reset game after hours
Great game. I purchased the hints component and enjoyed it until I hit the hint: “Insert the silver coin in the slot machine in the attic and get a green coin.” I Inserted the silver coin but got no green coin! Thereafter, that was the only hint I received at any point in the game.
I kept yelling, “I inserted the silver coin!” I eventually had to reset the game, but didn’t feel like slogging through the whole thing again. A very dissatisfying end to what otherwise was a really enjoyable game.

Bait and switch
I loved the game until it came to the part where you can’t get any further without paying $4.99 so if the price in $4.99 say so up front and I would have paid it but wait until someone is loving the game and then charge is an awful thing to do to people!

You can’t get to the door knockers without paying for their hints and skips. If you don’t pay, you can’t finish the game.

The game was awesome until the door knocker puzzle. It then said I had to pay 4.99 to continue with the game. It was listed in the Apple Ap store as a free game. Well it really isn't. That is some shady stuff. It boarders on false advertisement.

Was better before....
It looks great. But the update makes many clues unreadable on phones and iPads as they no longer fit on the screen properly. The game can’t be finished without prior knowledge or hints. Disappointed
