Not happy

I just signed on and thought this was a free service. Then I saw that you can pay more money to get the pro service and then I went and looked at all the reviews and thought you know what I’m not gonna even bother with this so I immediately got off. You can go ahead and be the guinea pig. Not me.

Annoying

This app in frustrating. The sound cuts out after the commercials. You have to close out of the app to reset it. And that doesn’t always work. Wish it was better

Won’t advance past 2/5 ads

I really wanted to watch The Artist but when I got to the first set of 5 adverts, it played the first 2 and wouldn’t go any further. Streaming to my tv was no better as the same thing happened.

The new HBO

Platform has a few bugs to work out but doesn’t any new app? Bottom line, the content feels like HBO on steroids - brilliant stuff

Nicely curated programming

I really enjoyed the deliberate choice of shows and movies on this app. It feels deliberate, in a good way. And I can watch them for free.

Amazing programming!

Can’t say enough about this new platform. Paid for the upgrade to pro which was well worth the $$. Averages out to be less than $4/month for some incredible and original television. Can’t wait to see what’s new each month. Really beautiful storytelling and I love that I can support independent tv this way!

SHOWS ARE SOOOO GOOD

Incredibly impressed with the platform, how’s its arranged and the actual shoes are original and quality, brilliant performances by John Legozamo, and The Artist, has many really wonderful actors, give it a try

FREE + INSANELY GOOD SHOWS

I disagree with other reviews, I easily logged in, had no problem, it’s definitely free and the shows I’ve never seen before on any other platform. The shows are also so good, highly recommend

Horrible app

Lots of commercials but also the shows stop after the commercials and a frozen screen is there. Try to fast forward and it goes backwards, try to go back and it jumps ahead. This needs some serious work

Paid doesn’t mean without Ads

I don’t mind paying for a subscription when it says it’s ad free but don’t be fooled. Not everything is ad free on here. There wasn’t even a footnote when purchasing that some shows will have the same 4 ads over and over again.

Also, the developers of this app apparently have never used a video streaming service before. No clue what you have already watched, doesn’t play well on Apple TV either.

Help is nonexistent.

Omg

This may just be the worst possible idea I have ever seen for an app. It sounds good and it's free, so of course you would expect occasional ads. What you would not expect is to have to sit through the same four ads, even if you stopped and then resume. There they are again. This is nothing short of hostage-taking in the wonderful world of app advertising. Obviously they can do it however they want. Equal obviously we don't have to cooperate. I have deleted the app and recommend you do the same.

The worst

First of all, you cannot stream through Chromecast. Second, the ads are way too long and there are far too many. Did not even get to start the show I wanted to watch. I am deleting this app now.

CC won’t work

This is extremely frustrating, CC option won’t allow the “check for yes” to stick.

Could NOT be worse!

Pure drivel! There’s literally not one single show I would watch on this platform. I paid for the upgrade for additional content, but nothing showed up except for a very few horrible shows.
There’s literally no way to contact anyone for a refund! PLEASE! DO NOT BOTHER WITH THIS APP. AND DO NOT PAY THEM TO UPGRADE!!! You won’t get what you paid for!!

Terrible

Zero stars. In the promotional advertising they claimed they were superior to the other streaming services, they even showed logos of the other services. “The Network” does not offer any of the thousands of movies and programs that the other streaming services offer. I sent them an email and asked him if I could cancel my subscription, they never replied, I asked my credit card company to cancel the charge. This app is terrible and should be removed from the App Store immediately.

There are only 30 titles. That’s it. Although some seem interesting. But $5/mo for only 30 title? Really?

Commercials Scam

So Mandy Patinkin plugged The Network on Stephen Colbert last night. I had never heard of the streaming service before and downloaded the app. I saw that the free version was commercial supported. That’s fine so is the base version of Peacock. But the Peacock app actually works properly, especially when it comes to dealing with blocks of ads. Before committing to see The Artist I figured I’d watch something in free mode that was 90 minutes long. With all the frustrating hoops I had to jump through I eventually ended up watching at least 45 minutes of ads for a 90 minute program. are the programmers of the app just that inept, or am I being scammed to sign up for the pay service? Either way I’m trashing this app. I’d never heard of The Network before this, and I never want to hear of it again!

God, I Wanted to Love This

How utterly frustrating!! Got the app to watch “The Artist” which looks so good. However, there is no way I’m subjecting myself to the constant freezes that force you to restart the app and sit through the ads you’ve already seen umpteen times just for it to freeze again. Is this some kind of joke??? It’s not funny. I can’t believe there was an update four months ago to fix bugs. From the review dates it looks like it got worse instead of better. This was a test to see if I wanted to go premium, if these glitches are intentional to get viewers to upgrade, it’s a big fail. I’m so glad I didn’t waste my money! Warning to others who might get duped: DON’T DO IT!

Horrible app - no customer service

Three issues.
In the iOS app, whenever I’m watching a feature, not the ads, when I press the FULL SCREEN option, it takes me back to the start. There is no way to view full screen, although you have the icon in place. PLEASE FIX.

Issue 2. There appears to be no way to view CLOSED CAPTIONS. Any decent streaming app allows for closed captions. PLEASE FIX.

Issue 3. In the Apple App Store, whenever viewing this app, there is a place that says REPORT A PROBLEM. But when you go there, one CANNOT report a problem because when you select QUALITY ISSUE, it says REPORTING NOT AVAILABLE!!!!

All of this is really frustrating, because you seem to have good programming but they cannot be enjoyed for the reasons above.

This is a horrible app.

Not free

This is not free as it is described. It is only partially free. They do have some free titles but there is a lot that is locked out as premium content and it requires a paid subscription.
