User reviews

AR no go

Like all the other reviews, the AR is subpar. I got the book for a nephew and we were excited for the AR. The app works on only a few of the newest and updated phones. Once you do have the right phone… the app is pointless. Spine, front and back work… but the story is more an advertisement for the book you’ll read and not new info. Once we tried to use the app inside the book there was no way to get the AR to trigger. The camera was not focusing and it was disappointing waste of time to try and trigger the AR. The audiorays are also pointless since they do not work at all. Hopefully the book is better than the AR app…

Practically useless unless in a laboratory setting

This app is utterly useless in most of not all lighting situations that the developer didn’t use when compiling this trashy code. Unable to force focus is my guess on why this app fails to deliver. Such potential wasted.

Barely Works

Have only had success scanning 2 recommended pages, the camera refuses to focus or recognize enough to scan. “Audioarys” don’t work at all, neither do the book trailers. Bought the book BECAUSE of the AR aspect. Very disappointing. Will change review if/when fixed.

Broken app doesn’t work

All of the previous reviews stating that the app is underwhelming or is flawed are very accurate. This app looks good but doesn’t show anything on the pages due to poor camera integration. Don’t use.

Meh.

When the app works, it’s beautiful. But that’s very rare. It takes forever to get anything to load and the camera NEVER focuses. It doesn’t matter what lighting or phone you use. Really needs some upgrades for this to work better and seamlessly.
