Love it

Use it to create simple binaural tones and white noise to sleep. Also gives relief for tinnitus. Used it to test specific hearing loss frequencies. Truly useful free app.

Stopped working properly. Only noise comes out. Loved it originally.

Not working.

Exactly What I Needed

Back in the early 90’s… I use to use 100% hardware to DJ in our clubs. Fast forward to today and the entire landscape has changed. While we were concerned with beat matching, it was more of an Ear Game. Our one and only CD player collected dust before anyone would touch it. As I get deeper into DAWs, I’m not understanding all the terminology and what it means. This app has been an incredible help when it comes to the different structures. I can finally understand what I’m doing in this area.

Typical Kymatica!

Sounds great! Works great!

oscillator: simple & good tool

i like simplicity of oscillator & it does exactly what it says. trying to understand synth-like interaction of the (3) channels, oscillators A&B and 1 noise generator. only thing i would add is something about how 3 channels interact but that would complicate it. so oscillator excellent as-is.

Best tone generator for testing audio equipment

I am using several tone generator apps to test a home built valve guitar amplifier. After trying several, this one is by far the best. Here’s why:

1. Log scale frequency sliders. This is so important. Down near 20 Hz, a difference of 1 hz is a big difference and you need precision of less than one Hz. Up above 2000 Hz a 1Hz difference is not very significant and you need to sweep quickly. That’s why a tone generator must have log scale frequency. Most tone gen apps don’t have it but this one does.

2. dB scale gain. Similar to the log scale frequency, if you don’t have dB scale volume control then you really can’t control the volume at the low end. This app has it.

3. More than one oscillator. If you are testing an amplifier you may want to see how it responds to a combination of a low and high frequency tone. This app does that. Most others do not.

VERY AWESOME #technerdculture APPROVES

This is a very powerful, excellent, and useful app. MY respect for the developers. The only improvement I would make is to add a run in background and mix with audio feature. For audio filtering this is important, unequivocally. Must use. 😊🤓

Have to do better

My teacher showed us an example of an ossltaior in class senice we are learning about waves every time I press on one it wouldn't even open I tryed to read some reviews to see if others had the same problem I saw nothing but 1 review and all it said was have to do better I could already tell that this game is unpopular PLZ DONT WASTE YOUR GOOD TIME ON DOING AN STUPID GAME TIKE THIS WHO EVER MADE THIS GAME DO BETTER! I AM NOT EVER JOKING I WOULD DO -9 IF THEY WOULD LET ME AND I TRY TO DO ZERO STARS BUT THEY WONT LET ME!!😡😡😡

Chords

The only improvement this app needs, is to be able to have FOUR oscillators running simultaneously. This would be great for exploring four-part harmony & the sound of different chords.

Can’t cast it via WiFi!?

I would love to connect and cast the sounds from the app to my stereo via WiFi

Audio generator

Works great. I checked the flatness all the way, and from 20 Hz to 17 kHz, sine-wave, and it's flat, and from 17 to 20 kHz it drops 2.1 dB. Not bad. My only complaint is that from 17-20kHz it's only about 1/8" and my manly finger almost cannot navigate very well. I do recommend this app.

Hearing Test

Worked great to “troubleshoot” my own ears! (I have tinnitus.) It would be even better if the oscillators could be individually turned on/off, but great tool for free.

perfect for what it is.

A no-brainer - download it to test speaker/headphone/ear response ranges.

AU support please!

This is a great app! Like nothing else out there. But I have two suggestions: 1) AU support so you can make an entire bank of these things, 2) pulse width control! Thanks!

Not good

My assistant and I used this app as the first ‘sine wave generator’ we stumbled across to align the left and right channels of a balancing box in the studio. The output level of this app are so wildly different that I thought my phone was broken, so my assistant downloaded it too.. same thing. Then we tried a different mini jack cable... same thing... then worried our balancing box was faulty... turns out this app is rubbish and not to be trusted. Wasted our time.

Please say ON not OFF

As in Windows, where you tap START to SHUTDOWN, could you PLEASE have ON be ON instead of OFF?

You may think it’s a “status indicator”, in which case it is correct - but it’s not, it’s an action button. That would be like saying “Click SAVE to delete this file” (because it’s already saved. The button SAYS so!)

You may wish to view one of the other 16,777,216 apps that work the other way ;-)

YOURS IS THE ONLY ONE BACKWARDS

Otherwise, THANK YOU for a GREAT app at the right price! 😊😊😊

new version is not working!!

new version is not working!!

Great simple but flexible, Oscillator!

I love this and am so glad that there is a 64bit version now! Simple but great for using as a starting point for texture making through effects, or reference tones/pitches and so on. It also has a noise source, and low pass filtering. Light weight and flexible! Many Thanks.
Good vibrations! 〰🎵♥️🎚

I love this app but

This is one of my favorite apps but it needs to be updated for ios 11

Only one wish..

I like this app. Very useful in certain situations. I only wish it had an LFO section :) for modulating frequency of both oscillators independently AND for modulating both filter frequencies independently. This app has major potential to produce a good drone sound. But without the LFO section it is not very musical.

K. All I'm saying.

Cheers,
Toderz
