The Place We Find Ourselves
Have gained many insights into how our past is not in the past but directly impacts how we live in the present. And what can be done to heal so I can lift myself out of unwanted behaviors in the present. Adam is truly gifted in crafting his words to teach sometimes elusive and difficult to understand concepts. -Stephanie

Lift up leaders; only in prayer. Leadership is tough. Some say leaders never have two good days in a row. After a leader I trust, like, and listen to most weeks said he listened to this podcast it became clear I needed to listen. “The place we find ourselves…” Is where I found a new character mark at work. God is doings new work in me. Partly due to this podcast. Character versus charisma is a distant/different review/post. Thanks Dr. Adam Young!

My Rievew of The Place We Find Ourselves
This podcast really has changed my life. I'm 17 years old. I have learned so much and regained so much of my body. My story is still definitely not written, nobody's is. But I'm so greatful to have Adam Young along for the ride.
Life-Changing
This podcast is stunning, and difficult, and shocking…liking putting a bare foot into the piercingly cold and clear waters of Lake Superior on a sunny summer day. I can usually only listen to one episode a day, MAYBE a couple days a week, because I can’t handle anymore than that at a time. I am beyond grateful that Adam Young took the risk and time and energy and thoughtfulness to commit to this endeavor. All the stars

Truth
There’s so much truth spoken here. The truth will set you free.
An absolute Must Listen
This podcast has been pivotal in me recognizing, identifying and moving through my past family of origin traumas…it’s helped me understand my story in ways I never thought possible. As a recovering burnt out missionary, it’s also given me new hope for a relationship with the church. The stories Adam shares here have aided in giving me a refreshed, authentic, and deeper connection with God, myself, and others!

LOVE this podcast!
This podcast has helped me and some of my closest friends become so much more self aware, learn to tell our stories, and bring healing to the places God wants to heal us. I’ve told all of my friends about it, and I can’t recommend it enough
Excellent
This podcast has changed my life and how I see the events of my past. He speaks with such grace, kindness and truth it is inviting to explore areas of my heart and history with a fearlessness I've never know. Thank you for your gift to the lives of hurting ones young and old.
Free therapy
When I started listening to this podcast it was at the recommendation of my therapist who told me, “This podcast is so good. It is basically free therapy.” Now I financially support Adam because I never want him to stop recording this podcast and I appreciate him so much. He is a kind, Holy-Spirit filled, wise, honest, brilliant, humble, courageous man of God. This podcast is filled with so much wisdom and grace and it was literally changed my life. Thank you, Adam!

So good
This podcast has been incredible in this season of my life. I am learning so much about the brain, which is helping me process the things I am working though in my trauma therapy.Adam’s way of teaching is easy to understand, and the stories shared during the podcast have helped me understand and start being able to tell my own story. I highly recommend this to anyone who is willing to get to know themselves on a real and authentic level. It has helped me be a better mother, friend, and child of God.

The podcast you didn’t know you needed!
Everyone has a story and what I’m learning is how to understand and rewrite my story. If you want hope then you’ll want to listen to and support Adam Young. Thank you for such impactful and important work!
So Validating and Healing!!
I don’t even know exactly where or how I came across the app. But I remember downloading it for later. I wouldn’t listen to it for another 1 or 2. I’d see it and remember I needed to start listening to it. God’s timing is always best, when I started listening I couldn’t stop!! Here was someone that put language to what I felt, and gave permission to me to feel all the emotions I experienced from the abuse and trauma I experienced as a little girl!! It’s brought me so much healing and I’m not very far into the episodes!! I’m learning my story, I’m seeing goodness in places I hated myself in and I’m starting to see that little girl as such a brave fighter in the midst of so much fear she went through feeling unsafe for most of her life! She is a warrior!
Adam Young, you have showed me how much God cares about our pain and that His message to us isn’t “forgive and forget” like I’ve been told! He invites us to tell our story because in our story is our freedom and so much more!!
I recommend this app to everyone!!

I was recommended to listen to the attachment episodes by my therapist, and I’ve yet to find a more wholesome podcast since. Adam speaks and you can’t help but stop everything you’re doing to listen.
His sage wisdom reverberates in your body like your grandfathers voice, his steady sureness so welcoming and regulating. Truly his voice alone feels so safe, and maybe that’s me projecting, so you’ll have to see for yourself.
This podcasts brings to life what it means to feel convicted from words saturated in love. His use of scripture redeems so many years of misunderstandings and miscommunications that have harmed me (and so many others), so deeply.
I think I’ve listened to each episode at least twice and that number will be increasing as I eagerly wait for the new episodes to resume in December.
Adam & Team, thank you for all that you do. For the effort and faith in the process, for the self disclosure and this precious, precious gift to humanity. What an honor to hear the voices and stories each guest and speaker has brought.

So grateful
Adam’s gentleness, sensitivity, and wisdom come through in every episode. He loves God and He loves people, and it shows. So grateful for his commitment to keep creating and helping us understand and heal the wounded ness and walk forward with HOPE!
Everyone needs to listen to this!
For me, this podcast has been the number one tool I’ve used for personal growth in the last two years. Everyone would benefit from learning about story, attachment and trauma. Because we all know someone who would benefit from having a friend who will engage their story with them. Thank you for providing this content.
