No photos
App is ok but if the story is a photo led one you don’t get to see them. Quite often they will run a story that has a lot of photos in it and it’s impossible to view the story in its entirety because of this fault
News App very disappointing
This app has been poor ever since it’s first appearance.
It is very annoying for subscribers to be forced to cancel their subscription and re-subscribe so frequently because the app no longer recognises their account.
Also annoying ‘error messages’ that are meaningless.

Up until this weeks update, it was a good, if ugly app.
Since the update, my subscription won’t restore
I will give it a week and if not fixed, that’s one less subscription.

Subscription confusing
I don’t understand how the two subscription levels work? What is the difference between the 5.99 and 7.99 versions? Can I access the website as well? Also the app support just sends me to the paper!!

Great read, but on app pages difficult to turn
I get all my local information from The News and like the balance of articles.
My gripe is the stubbornness of pages to turn using the app on my iPad. Sometimes a swipe works straight away, but sometimes it takes multiple swipes to read the next page. Any solution?

Doesn’t always download
When I start to read this paper I find that some pages don’t download. I can go back after waiting and sometimes the pages are there and sometimes it tells me to re-download the app. I have a super fast wireless connection so no problem my end. I think I’ll be cancelling my subscription if this keeps up.

Doesn’t get you the website content, just the static newspaper version it should really do both
Difficult to navigate
I have signed up for a subscription but difficult to navigate. A friend had a letter published earlier this week but cant get back to it. I will probably end up cancelling my subscription. A shame because when you get to it it is fine.

I love the Portsmouth news and this app is excellent, love it.
Rubbish
August 24th and 26th 2019, go to download and no contents. Email said people to tell them the problem and surprise surprise the email fails. Yet they took the money yesterday!

New version really is even better
Ignore the bad reviews about the new 2019 version, it really is even better than before. Like others, I struggled to find the full digital edition of the old version, when all I could see was the Homes edition, but I just scrolled down, and there they all are, the beautiful digital editions.
New version seems better in every way, and even the pages display faster. If you can’t get in, try scrolling down!

This updated app just crashes
App has been working fine for years.
Since this new update, it just crashes on load.
Tried restarting, and reinstalling, but still crashes.
