Old Pour Over

I miss the old Pour Over where you could only consume so much news then you’re done for the day. Now it seems like there is more and more to try to keep me on the app, like more articles and games. The new acorn system is insanely high. I was 4 acorns away from being able to get a shirt, they updated the app now I’m like 400 acorns away lol.
I do like the Bible Perspective on stories. It is a way to bring it back to what’s important.

Short and sweet

It’s nice to have just a snippet of the news without having a commentary of what’s going on

Quick n easy!

Love it. Christ first. Funny. Keeps me centered. This should be your only news app

Not the same after update

I used to love the Pour over news and how simplistic it was. You would only get news Monday, Wednesday, and Friday and then not worry about the app for the other days. Earning acorns (points) were reasonably proportional to the rewards you could get. Now, the app wants you to log in everyday to start a streak for more points even on days when they don’t have any news for you. I am confused because the whole point of the Pour Over News is to not be faced with news 24/7 yet they want you to log in everyday and face a news headline. The acorns you have to earn for prizes increased exponentially which also came with more ways to earn acorns but is not as proportional and makes it significantly more difficult to redeem a prize. You can earn acorns by winning the top 3 places in games but the games are very difficult to me and don’t make sense. I’m just not really as invested anymore as when it started. Still a good cause of what they are trying to do as a news outlet but I just don’t think it’s effective.

Enjoyable

I do enjoy having Christian views of news. So much less stress. And worth listening to the news now. Thank you 😇🙏🏻🥰
