The Pour Over isn’t about telling you who is right and wrong in the news. It takes a “just the facts” perspective and then points you back to Jesus. It helps me keep the right perspective and stay informed without doomscrolling.

There is no such thing as a liberal Christian
I appreciate this news channel yet the advertising for “not liberal not conservative” is strange. Jesus knew nothing of acceptance of abortion and the sexual revolution, neither would he have accepted any of it. You cannot be a follower of Christ while openly affirming liberal politics in modern day America. Bad advertising on the company’s part.

This app is great because it helps me stay current on big events, while preventing me from feeling bogged down by things happening around the globe.

This simple app has been a great boon to my engaging the news through the lenses of the Bible. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to bring devotion and information together in a simple package.

Truly a great app and company! So glad to have access to news but also encouragement through that.
My only qualm with the app is the rewards system. It’s nice to offer free items and swag but feel like there isn’t a very good way of obtaining points. I know the main source is the referrals, but feel like should be able to obtain a point each day there is a newsletter and between 5-10 points weekly.

The only News I’ll read
The Pour Over trims down the endless information of news into bite-sized stories without trying to sell me on a political agenda. I love it!

I really enjoy the short informative articles with all the hype and the related Bible passages help keep it in a Kingdomly perspective.

Great News App for Christians
I love this app. It may not go really in depth into stories but I use it as a kind of Christian supplement to the news that helps me reframe my orientation to that of the Lord while giving me biblical passages to pray upon.
Refreshing Approach to News
I am absolutely tired of the polarization of politics in the United States. At many news outlets, it seems like their reporter bias is stronger than actual facts. The Pour Over isn’t like that. They don’t write news stories. They just tell you the news – not from a Christian perspective or any other perspective – they just say what is happening.
The Christian worldview aspect is their response to the news that is presented separately. And they constantly remind you that Jesus didn’t say, “they will know you by your politics.” They encourage hope, peace, and love in Christ from an eternal perspective.

Changing my perspective!
As long-time reader of the TPO email newsletter, I jumped at the opportunity to check my email less often. The app has a much more prayerful, calm experience and I leave feeling informed and less anxious in 5 minutes!
A solid news option
I got exhausted from reading skewed news articles with skepticism and criticism. When I downloaded The Pour Over, I was relieved to read simple and clean news with a Christian perspective. I can stay updated without being overwhelmed with information and anxiety.

I like this app. It’s easy to navigate and it doesn’t overwhelm you with news. Now there isn’t a search option or a ton of article so if you live for the news this might not be for you. But for someone that wants to know what’s happening but in a non biased way, this is a must.

Awesome news and awesome descriptions. Really is just stating the facts! I do agree that they should try to continue to cover more stories and maybe add a search bar so you can find coverage on specific topics!! Otherwise, it’s going great so far!
