Interesting and fun expansion, but flawed
This one is a bit hard to recommend. Many of the quests give you little to no direction as to where you should go or how to solve it, which requires you to basically cycle through every area of the map tapping every object, door, character, over and over again.
Like HOL 1 Zarista games has shown that they are great at using the quest engine to make interesting areas, but the quest design often requires searching the internet for a solution. There are about 2 towns with a designed layout but most of the towns and villages are just huts and buildings strewn around randomly, as compared the cool, structured cities of the original game and the fire and ice expansion. This lack of design in the towns is an issue in a good number of quests because they require you to talk to someone in a certain town—meaning you literally have to systematically tap every single door to find them, and 90% of the doors have the message, “No answer”.
I can’t stress enough how obscure this expansion is. Be prepared to look up old forum posts to find the solution to most of the quests.
Despite all of this, like the previous Zarista expansion I played, HOL1, this expansion has a lot of charm and personality and you can tell that the designers put a lot of love into the project. If you are a hard core Quest fan, grab it. If you are a follower of the Lukomorye storyline, grab it. If you, like me, are adamant to use a single character across all expansions, grab it, but just know you are in for a tough time, as this expansion took me a long, long time to come close to finishing, due to the need to constantly revisit old areas to look for some new thing I’m supposed to find or person I need to talk to. If none of these things apply to you, you probably aren’t reading this review.

Poorly designed
So annoying I quit in frustration. There is no rhyme or reason to any methods of play. Sometimes you tap things. Sometimes you hit them with your weapon. Basically you have to tap and hit everything in this game to cover your bases. It's just lazy developing. Sure they can claim 30 hours of gameplay but that's because of the above. Because you have to navigate annoying maps designed to trap you in with trees or run down endless corridors. Every quest has you running in circles. Talk to her talk to him find and object talk to her again talk to him again. Grrr. You should not have to be running to the internet every single quest to find out what random thing to tap. Lazy. Badly made.

The Quest is by far my all time favorite game on my phone. I won't admit how many hours I have spent playing this game. This latest addition is awesome!!! Thank you!!!!!!!!
Great series, but a warning to those with "The Quest Gold" Version
The Quest series is amazing and I have to say that the expansions are amazing! One problem though that they do not tell you about on this page. If you bought "The Quest Gold" over the regular "The Quest" as a starter game for the series, do not buy the following expansions : Hero of Lukomorye 1, Hero of Lukomorye 2, Islands of Ice and Fire. These come pre-packaged within the Quest Gold from the beginning. If you do what I did and bought this by accident, you will know it when you get the error that says "The Quest version 4.0 or later must be installed." Upon researching the internet I found out why. Hence I am warning others from making the same mistakes I did. If you own "The Quest" this will work for you with no problems. If you Own "The Quest Gold" don't buy this or the other listed expansions mentioned. They come prepackaged as part of the premium gold package when you get that application, which is a great deal by the way to kick start you off to the game. Other than that, great series chock full of entertainment.
On the side if you buy any expansions outside of this, get the expansion "The Cursed Chess Set" best way of starting off a new character with tons of amazing equipment and so much money.

The entire quest series is addictive and fun. I own a ps3 and have plenty of games for it, but I have played the quest series ten-fold

I have loved the rest of the series and highly recommed it. Yet I was in the mole cave and exited the game and now I try to go back and all my stuffs gone!!!!

Nice game challenging
Very nice game its well done, im a fan of the quest games. It might be a bit harder since levels are usless in the game. You might find it quite easy to get lost or killed in 1-2 shots in game.

The Quest series is so incredible.
I have but only 3 recommendations.
1: Fully repair single item icon (when using repair hammer it fully repairs the item or completely dulls the repair hammer)
2: This isnt really needed but itd be cool if there was some multiplayer, open feint achievements, and scenarios that require more than one player to conquer an enemy for epic items
3: More Alchemy, heal full health and mana potions should be tuned to certain high amounts for whatever xpack they are in.
Cant wait for next xpack!

Great game series
However, this may be my least favorite expansion thus far. Finishing up many of the missions here feels more like a chore than fun. I think i forget where to even start on half of them as the detailing list of open missions is still lacking on info for most. The viruses may be a decent idea to level the playing field for those who have built their character up to crazy levels in the previous expansions but for the rest of us it's annoying. Also there has to be a better way to repair. I have to teleport back to previous Quests just to buy repair hammers or get things repaired most the time. And I hate sitting around pressing the hammer button for 5 minutes to fix my gear every 20 minutes. Again, annoying. I have over 100 repair skill points... Why not make this automatic? Touch the repair icon for an item and take off the necessary usage value to fix said item off the repair hammer?
Anyway, I do like the number of rare items in this game. Greatly expanded from HoL1. I also like the seemingly scaled back number of necessary/gold labeled weaponary. Means I can sell more stuff off ;) although is there a glitch somewhere as I currently have two flyswatters and two ghostbuster swords...?
Still a job well done. I've spent more time on the Quests than any other game on the iPhone. I'm just not as compelled to finish this one nearly as quickly as the others. The only things that would make these better would be a graphical updating to the, well, 2000s and a multiparty system. I just finished Undercroft and while it is largely inferior to the Quests I did enjoy the environment graphics and multiparty system. Add those to the Quest and we got a beast of a RPG.

If you haven't played The Quest yet, you should! If you have, then you don't need to read this. This is another great expansion (the hardest so far, for me); if you liked the previous ones you will like this one.

The Amazing Quest!
The Quest (and it's expansions) are reason enough to buy an iPhone! This is THE rollplaying game to get. Between the main Quest and it's 4 expansions there's about 150 hours of gameplay (and that's just playing through ONCE - the replayability is enormous!). I never thought my phone would replace my gaming devices but it has - now I get mad when a client calls me!!! GET THIS & ENJOY!
