Amazing after update!! Just a Liquid Glass question though….
I just got the new update as of 8/4/2026 and it is so amazing! Everything was redefined and modernized!!! Love it. Keep up the good work!! (Also, for iPhone users, maybe accept the Liquid Glass UI, as it would make the app flow perfectly with the iPhone & users) ♥️
I love this app, but the most recent update leaves much to be desired.
Without a doubt this Bible app provides us with some of the most faithful commentary and study resources in our generation. I have been using this app for years, and have enjoyed it so much.
However, the recent update which aimed to overhaul the user interface and experience has taken one step forward and two steps back. It’s nice and sleek, but it’s not as intuitive as it once was. Instead of clicking on a verse to bring up isolated commentary on that one verse, you now have to swipe to go to a whole new page dedicated to just commentary. Alternatively you can click on a verse and swipe up. Either way, swiping this and that direction back and forth between text and commentary isn’t as simple as clicking on and off a verse.
I’ve also noticed the loss of some very basic features. For example, you can no longer highlight or copy multiple verses at once.
Then there are small bugs. If you click on a verse to give you options for what to do with it (e.g. copy, share), a little panel pops up. There’s an “X” to dismiss this panel, but clicking on it does nothing. You have to click on the verse itself again to remove this panel.

My favorite Bible reading app
A simple, well-designed tool to enjoy God’s word. The quality of John’s notes leaves nothing to be desired.

Disappointed with the upgrade
I have been using this app for years, But thinking now about leaving it.
Although some of the changes are nice, I hate this new version.
-Can’t find a setting to see if I can adjust. -The option to listen to it is harder to activate, is hidden
-It does not tracks the reading as you use the audio mode. -Audio can’t start in the middle of a chapter.
-The app does not pick up where you left off so I constantly have to reread from the beginning of the book. Or search manually
-It’s not continuous like the previous one. You have to get out of one book to get to the other.
Will be checking other apps.
