Functionally useless on the path
This app has not been designed for users without phone signal - so when it is opened on the coast path it tries to load updates and gives no option to skip updates and gets stuck there. This makes it functionally useless for following the path or anything else it has been designed to do.

I reviewed this app a year ago, and the new version is a distinct improvement.
Firstly, you can now add your previous walks, though it's a bit of a tedious process.
Second, it's now possible to record a walk without having the app open on screen, although it only plots your progress between waypoints that you tap, not actually using GPS while you walk as the OS app does. Still, it does the job.
Two irritations still. The app "updates" every time you open it, which takes up to a minute before it is usable, especially if there's no network access, which of course is the case on most of the coast path. This even happens when you're in the middle of recording a walk.
And I would really like to be able to turn off the wave sounds at start up!

Needs integration with other recording programs
Nice idea but needs to be able to integrate with apps like strava, garmin etc to allow recording on other devices and upload segments to the app.
Would happily pay a fiver to download this and use it to records walks and runs on the WCP.
Shame they’ve not invested in this as a money maker, feels a bit half baked and no use to anyone.

Very painful to use
Started walking WCP at Chester and have got as far at Menai. Recording a day’s walk is just painful. The not done and completed colours are too similar. The app thinks we have done 97% of North Coast …. I can see a section in Bangor where is is shaded as not completed but it is in the middle of a section I recorded as done.

Back to paper
I've been walking parts of the coast path for a couple of years, and wanted to get an overall picture of which parts I've completed. Unfortunately, this app doesn't let you import previous walks, even though I have them on the OS app already. I'm not even bothered about recording as I walk (which, even if it works, involves keeping the app onscreen all the time) as I'd prefer to continue using the (far superior) OS app.

Good idea terrible app
Tracking is useless on this app as it stops tracking when it likes and is very inaccurate. Other reviews mention this from over a year ago so the developer obviously doesn’t know how to fix it or can’t be bothered. This could be a good fun app to track travels round the coast path but as it can’t do even basic tracking it’s pointless.

Searched App Store, found, used “open” to get in but not possible.

'Record' doesn't work & there's no way to manually input parts of the path you've already walked.

This app is a bit rubbish. You have to physically stand in front of the interactive panels like a fool to view the video. Overall a poorly designed app. No wonder so few tourists visit wales.
Absolutely useless
You’re are not able to track you walking at all - it just stops if not constantly looking at the map or if signal is lost.
No option to draw in you route afterwards, so no possibility for tracking your route.
The maps are not that detailed neither and better off using other apps/maps for this.

Don’t bother
Very inaccurate tracking that stops when it feels like it and little other functionality
Disappointing
Really wanted to love this app. However, it cuts recording when signal is lost (often on the coast!) and insists on updating far too often to be helpful.

I’m completely at a loss with this App. I have installed it several times and just cannot fathom it out. I want to walk from Borth y Gest using the coast path but just cannot figure out how to use this app! Not very user friendly at all!!!
