Family members can see updates in real time, while the Family Owner controls invitations and permissions. Features include: • Private invite-only family groups • Shared lists for shopping, errands, and everyday planning • Task management with subtasks, assignments, and recurring tasks • Shared family calendar with optional Apple Calendar sync • Live family location with saved places and status labels • Owner-managed permissions for lists, tasks, calendar, and location • Notifications for updates that matter to your family TheFamHub is designed for close circles who want a calmer, more organized way to coordinate home life.

What's New in TheFamHub

• Branded launch screen. The app previously showed a plain white/black flash on cold launch before the dark interface appeared. The launch screen now paints the app's deep navy base color, eliminating the jarring contrast on startup. Account & Privacy • In-app Privacy Policy link. A Privacy Policy link is now available in the Family tab → Account section and on the "Get Started" screen. Tapping it opens https://df0usy.github.io/thefamhub/privacy-policy.html in Safari. • Sign Out and Delete Account accessible before joining a family. Previously, users who signed in with Apple but had not yet created or joined a family had no way to sign out or delete their account — those controls only appeared after a family workspace was selected. Both actions are now available on the "Get Started" screen (Sign Out in the navigation bar, Delete Account below the onboarding cards). • Account deletion deployed. The delete-account Supabase Edge Function is now live. It handles cascade-deletion of the user's profile, memberships, location history, notification preferences, and any families they own, while preserving shared content in families they don't own. Empty States & Discoverability • Location tab empty states. The Family Members and Saved Places panels on the Location screen now show branded FamilyHubEmptyState placeholders (icon + title + guidance text) instead of plain footnote text, matching the style used by Lists, Tasks, and Calendar. • Duplicate section header removed. The Lists tab was showing a gray "Lists" section header below the empty-state hint text. Removed — the navigation title already carries that label. • "View App Tour" on Get Started screen. Users who completed the first-run walkthrough, closed the app, and returned to the "Get Started" screen (no family yet) can now replay the full product tour from that screen, consistent with the replay action already present in the Family tab. Error Visibility • Location upload failures now surface to the user. Previously, background location upload errors were silently swallowed (print() only). Failed uploads now trigger a visible alert ("Couldn't update your location") so the user knows their position isn't being shared rather than assuming it is. Visual Polish • Full UI overhaul Calendar — rebuilt from the ground up List sync corrections with database permissions Family events are now grouped by date (Today, Tomorrow, This Week, and beyond) so you can see what's coming at a glance. The clunky card layout is gone — events are clean and compact, with swipe to edit or delete. Apple Calendar sync is now fully in your control. A new sync settings sheet lets you choose exactly which calendar on your iPhone receives family events, sync on your schedule, and disconnect at any time without losing anything. Your family events always stay safe in FamHub. Bug fixes and stability improvements under the hood.
