About

Your notes, your words, your phone. No recording, no cloud, no AI scribe listening to your sessions. NoteKey is the iOS keyboard for therapists, psychologists, LCSWs, LPCs and LMFTs: note skeletons that expand with tap-through fill-in fields, an intervention phrase library organized by modality, and autocorrect that finally knows CBT from DBT and clomipramine from chlorpromazine. It works in every app you already write in: your EHR, Notes, email, telehealth platforms. NOTE SKELETONS THAT FILL THEMSELVES Type .dap and the whole progress note scaffolds itself. Tap through the fill-in fields instead of hunting with the caret, and a progress chip tracks where you are in the note. 15 templates at launch, including SOAP, DAP, BIRP, GIRP, intake summary, mental status exam, risk assessment, safety plan review, telehealth, group, couples and family, treatment plan review and discharge. AN INTERVENTION PHRASE LIBRARY 69 original clinical sentence stems tagged by modality: CBT, DBT, ACT, MI, EMDR, person-centered, psychodynamic, family and substance use. Filter by modality, search, tap to insert. When your caret is standing in a skeleton field, the Phrases tab opens already filtered to that section, so the interventions you need are the ones you see. AUTOCORRECT THAT KNOWS CLINICAL WORDS A psychiatric lexicon compiled from open National Library of Medicine data. Medication names, clinical vocabulary and instrument names like PHQ-9 and GAD-7 are protected, so autocorrect stops rewriting them into something else. Look-alike medication names never cross-correct into each other. DICTATION THAT STAYS ON YOUR PHONE Talk your note and Apple's on-device speech recognition transcribes it. Audio is never stored and never transmitted. NoteKey formats what you said into note shape, then returns you to exactly where you were typing. SESSION TOOLS A session timer and a words-typed count live in the keyboard's own header, so the note stays on pace without leaving the field. SPECIALTY PACKS Four packs at launch: CBT, EMDR, family and substance use. Each adds terms, templates and phrases tuned to how you actually work. WHAT IS FREE Full typing, autocorrect and the clinical lexicon never expire and never nag. The free tier includes 3 note skeletons with fill-in fields, 5 custom snippets, 20 expansions a day, 1 specialty pack, and browsing the whole phrase library. WHAT PRO ADDS All 15 skeletons, unlimited snippets and expansions, phrase insert, dictation, session tools and all 4 specialty packs. Monthly, yearly with a 14-day free trial, or a one-time founding lifetime purchase. PRIVACY, BY ARCHITECTURE The keyboard contains no networking code at all. Turn on Airplane Mode and it behaves identically, because it never had anything to send. There are no accounts, no analytics and no advertising, and we run no servers holding your content. Nothing you type leaves your phone. NoteKey is a documentation tool. It does not diagnose, does not recommend treatment and does not provide dosing. Its templates are documentation scaffolds and contain no clinical advice. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel in your Apple Account settings. Terms of Use: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/ Privacy Policy: https://kamal-no-bot.github.io/notekey-legal/

What's New in Therapy Notes Keyboard NoteKey

1.0.1

August 17, 2026

Accessibility, and one fix in the Phrases tab. - Onboarding and the dictation screen now respect Reduce Motion. - VoiceOver announces which modality filter is active in the Phrases tab, instead of showing it in colour only. - Fixed: the Phrases filter row could show "All" as selected while the list was already filtered to your modality.
