Great

Great app the seconds and time since start up countdown like backwards

Brilliant

As a developer, I appreciate an app that is so functional yet so small (less than 1 MB). We need more utilities like this. Also, the UI is great for someone who doesn’t understand what’s too hot or too cold.

Great app !!

One minor thing noticed: Feels like sometimes widget does not refresh automatically with reference to current thermal state of device.
We need to tap on widget then it switches to latest state and stay in this unless tapped again.
Maybe incorrect but if dev can confirm.

Exactly what I wanted!

This is exactly what I wanted, easy to see the status of my phone without the stupid in-app purchases just to see the temperature as a widget. Love the minimalist design!

Amazing app!

Helps me keep track of my iPhone and if it was overheating or something happened at any time, great freaking app!

No ads, great service!

FAQ

How does Thermals help with slow performance?

Thermals displays your device's thermal state. When an iPhone overheats, iOS can reduce processor speed to prevent damage, leading to poor performance. This app helps you identify if heat is the cause.

Can Thermals help diagnose slow charging?

Yes, Thermals can help. Battery charging generates heat, and iOS may limit charging speed to manage this heat. By monitoring thermal state, Thermals can indicate if overheating is impacting your charging speed.

What does Thermals show about my iPhone's processors?

Thermals shows how many processors are currently active on your device, as reported by iOS. This can be useful for diagnosing manufacturing defects if not all processors are active when the device is cool.

How often does Thermals monitor my device?

Thermals monitors your device's thermal state regularly in the background if Background App Refresh is enabled. You can also open the app or tap the widget to record a data point manually.

Can I export data from Thermals?

Yes, Thermals allows you to export the raw data to a file. This data can be used for corroboration with other development tools like Screen Time or Xcode's Instruments.

Is Thermals available on Apple Watch?

Yes, there is an independent Apple Watch app for Thermals. It shows the thermal status, active processors, uptime, and thermal history of your watch.

What is the age rating for Thermals?

Thermals has an age rating of 4+. This indicates it is suitable for a wide range of users and does not contain mature content.

When was Thermals last updated?

Thermals was last updated on December 28, 2022, with version 1.0. This indicates it is a relatively new application.
