Nifty tool

Works great. So much easier to use an app like this compared to the old days.

Good app

Lots of options for different fluids, units, and properties. Very helpful if you need to look up a lot of different properties in your everyday work. The results seem to match up well with thermo text.

Way easier than looking up values in a thermo text. Wish I had this in college. The app makes it very easy to look up thermo properties. Definitely recommend this app if you need this type of thing.

Very nice!

Quick and convenient thermodynamics. As much as thermodynamics can be anyway. The mixture option greatly simplifies the process of averaging together individual component properties manually. Note the little dots in the plots are interactive and can be moved around. Itโ€™s a good way to see how the properties relate to one another.

Horrible

I wish I could give this app a zero star rating. None of the values this app gives are accurate. And some of the calculated values are just downright ridiculous. I tried contacting the company on two different occasions and received no response. I would highly encourage any engineering students or practicing engineers to steer far clear of this app. It is more worth the time to double interpolate from tables rather than use this app. Even the values for steam which apps can generally get correct were still off in this app. It can not be trusted for any values you are going to look up. And it is certainly not worth the money. I can not stress enough how displeased I am with the app. It is rare to find one that includes table for refrigerants so I was very disappointed to see that all of the refrigerant calculations that are included with this app are just blatantly wrong. The user interface is seemingly easy to use but that doesnโ€™t matter when the values it gives you are so wrong that it is laughable. I could write a book on how awful this app is and how immoral it is to claim to be one of the most accurate calculators out there when that is clearly not the case.

Response from developer

We hope you were happy with free thermodynamic lesson on the concept of reference pressure and temperature. You seemed much happier with the product after that was cleared up. Qualities like enthalpy and entropy are relative properties, relative that is to the reference state specified. They can be positive or negative or zero depending on the inputs set on the reference page of the app. Most likely the default values in the app are is not the same values as whatever textbook you were looking at, but they are easy enough to change.
