-Car off
-Insert SIM card into connected module
-plug usb c cord into dashcam from connected module
-turn car on
-(have the account set up prior and be ready to submit right after the car turns on) submit the sim number on app or scan the code
- listen for instructions from dashcam

So, after thinking that youâve updated the app, the camera app to scan the barcode is still blurry after someone having 10 pints, Iâve put in the serial number about 10x times manually and it still asks me to re-enter the serial number. You come out with all this âyou can check your cameras whilst away from your vehicle!â and yet every other person has tried the same thing and still doesnât work. Talk about false advertising. Canât believe I paid over ÂŁ1200 for two units, to which the customer has to set it up by themselves. Was hoping I could send a picture of the camera setup for looking at the barcode to prove it doesnât work!

Great cameras - but all their apps are absolutely awful. Iâll not be buying another camera of theirs again.
Doesnât work
The most frustrating, complicated, user unfriendly app, with the vaguest instructions to connect your dash cam that ultimately does not connect at all. The worst app Iâve ever had the displeasure of wasting a day on, and not ever using.

Worst app I have ever used THINKWARE when I pay $1000 for a camera it should allow you to connect. But this app oh you donât have an account, then create an account and it says you have an account. Decide what is going on or give me back my money for the camera that needs to be controlled by this app.

App no longer connects

This product is worse than the reviews say. I give myself a 1 star review as well for not seeing these reviews. Thinkware should be embarrassed! A total waste of money. Will most likely toss this in the trash and go back to my old cheap camara. Shame on you for u ripping us all off!

Remember you need to register the dashcam first in a separate app called Thinkware DashCam link. You then need to add an internet connection in the Thinkware DashCam link app.
Only once youâve down those 2 steps will you be able to register the DashCam in the Thinkware Connected cloud app. It needs internet access for this step.
The app is a bit clunky to use and I havenât figured out how to download videos from the cloud yet. I logged in online but it took me to some web site that looked like it was for vehicle fleet managers. But the app does seem functional. Iâm just using my carâs internal WiFi hotspot for now.
So yes, app a bit awkward to use, but donât think it deserves 1 star. Iâll give it 3 for now.

You pay a fortune for a dash cam that supposedly is the beat in class just to discover the app is terrible, full of bugs, never connects.

Canât register with either bar code or MAC address. Useless.
No connection
Tried over and over again but wonât connect to my U3000 Thinkware need to up their game with their connection issues.

Absolutely terrible. Canât scan the barcode canât input the barcode. It wonât accept it and it wonât accept doing it by the web address so this app is useless.

Unpleasant to work with
Itâs so hard just to connect the dash cam when you start. Nothing really works it just shows you a message or error and even if you close the app and try to reboot it, it still doesnât work. For the price of their dash cam I wouldâve expected a better app to go along with it. I would give 0/5 if I could.

The dash cam canât be connected after the app update. The dash cam can be connected with DashCamLink through WiFi only.
