Would be good if timer and audio cues worked
When I first downloaded this app I had no problems with it and happily followed the programme. I’m no repeating the programme and no matter what I try, I cannot get the timer to stay counting down when my phone screen goes off (the timer stops so it’s useless). Plus audio cues don’t come on so I don’t know when the end of each interval is (even when not listening to music)

Looks great but sound isn’t working
Hi please help! I just discovered this app and it looks like just the ticket to get me running again. But after installing it the sound didn’t work. I uninstalled it and tried again but the same issue persisted. Please can you help?

We can be runners!
I think that running is the fastest, easiest, cheapest, most convenient and healthiest way to improve cardiovascular fitness. And burn calories. And to just get outside and get 30 minutes to myself.
But when I’ve been slack for months on end it’s painful to build my fitness up. To go from not being able to run for even a minute to being able to run for half an hour, is TOUGH so I make up excuses and procrastinate starting.
Thats where I’ve found this app is amazing.
It cheers you on, and with the timers and Mel’s positive talk and instructions it takes away any thinking, so you just plod along doing what she tells you, and before you know it you are getting fitter and looking forward to the next time. Honest!
I 100% recommend TMR and I have personally got half a dozen friends to download the app and we are doing it together. Apart, but together. It’s fun to check in and it’s helping so many of us!
It’s true that with TMR it’s ‘my time’ and I love it, thank you so much.

A great way for new runners to build confidence
Narrated by founder Mel Bound, this app is a great partner for the novice runner. Manageable sessions that quickly build confidence and stamina, I particularly like that I can play my own music (or have no music at all), accompanied my Mel’s coaching. Highly recommended
Made me a runner
I actually did the TMR Run 30 and Run 60 physical course back in 2017 before I was pregnant with my third. They made me a runner then. I never thought I’d run any kind of distance, let alone a 10k and TMR did that. My husband moved away after baby three so I couldn’t do the evening sessions any more. The app means I get the familiarity of the TMR structure with the freedoms to run when I have the time. I really like it. It’s got me running again. And I can run and listen to podcasts and Mel chips in when she needs to over the audio. One small thing, I could do with narration for the warm up and cool down sessions. I find I tend to do these outside and have to keep checking my phone to remind myself what the stretches are. But I almost have them memorised by session 6 so it’s a tiny issue.

Fantastic!
I am really enjoying this app! Can’t wait to discover more
A different viewpoint
I’ve always thought of running as a distance event - I have to run 5k or 10k and my times have to improve and I have to run three times a week and I’ve always failed. It became even harder once I became a full time working mum. I’m exhausted most of the time - there is no parenting off switch! I decided to go for this app because I really liked the idea of running not a distance, not a specific distance within a time frame, but to just be able to run for 30 minutes. At my pace. There is no “how far did you go?” questioning at the end. I just followed the app and was guided by Mel. It’s very early days but there is something different about this way of training - this different mindset that makes me feel like the pressure is off. I got to the end of my first session and thought - I can do this!

Best app
I’ve tried a few fitness and running apps, but this one is the best by far. The app allows you to choose music to play along and then gently encourages great achievements. I’ve never been able to run for more than 5 mins, and yet with this app, half way through and I can run 20 mins non stop! It’s amazing!

Good but some flaws
I have just finished week 4 of this app. I wasn’t sure about paying when there are so many free ones and to be honest there’s not a huge difference between this and the free ones. The warm up and cool down videos have been useful though. The app says if you pay you get to join the community of supportive mums. But my invitation to the Facebook group is still pending after 4 weeks and the group only has a handful of members.
I find the voice prompts get a little repetitive after a while. It would be good to have more range of these and also different ones depending on what week you’re on. They do change a little, but not enough. For example I would appreciate more encouragement during the first longer runs. The first ever 5 minute run felt like forever to me and I’d have liked more countdowns and encouragement to keep me going. Mel’s voice is great though, very genuine and doesn’t irritate or grate at all. She’s not over the top enthusiastic, it’s just right.
My biggest problem with this app is that there are some errors with counting workouts. I have now done 12 sessions, all around 30 mins each. But the app tells me I have done 24 sessions and been moving for 24 hours. Clearly not right. I brought this up on the Facebook group and received no response. Possibly it got missed as I commented on the page rather than private messaging.
Overall it is a nice app and I love the idea of mums supporting each other. It’s such a lovely idea and that’s what prompted me to buy the app. With a few bug fixes and improvements I think it would be worth the money, but at the moment it’s quite expensive for what it is.

This the perfect antidote to busy lives 💕
I’ve been a huge fan of This Mum Runs since the early days but this app means I can have Mel and my own playlist with me on every run.
Super simple to use and just the right amount of instruction but heaps of encouragement along the way.
Download it or gift it to a friend/family member and carve out some ‘me time’ It’s fab! CT

Brilliant App!
Downloaded this yesterday and did my first session today. It was great to get outside and exercise after a bit of a break from running and not look at my watch or worry about what Strava was saying. I just listened to my music and ran when Mel told me to. The encouragement throughout the session is spot on, enough to keep the positive thoughts up but not so much that you can’t listen to your music. Really easy app to use and looking forward to doing the next session!

This Mum Runs is life changing!
This app is packed full of real women sharing their stories about how This Mums Runs Run30 has changed their lives, and loads of support to get women and Mums out there and get the same benefits. The Run30 programme is genius in its simplicity - rather than aiming for distance or speed, all your need to worry about is running at your pace for the minute on the programme.
I’m returning to running with TMR after a few months of illness, and the videos and support available through the app and online community are giving me such a boost. I’m really excited about working my way through the app.
I’m recommending this app to all my friends!

Super support
As with all things “This Mum Runs” the app has a very supportive feel. Great to have a video warm up to follow.
Super clear
This is great app. So clear, easy and interesting to use to kick start a running journey. What a great community as well
More than just a running app. It’s a fab women’s running community app
This app is just wonderful and is more than just a running app. You can see how much personal thought and time went into the content and look. From Mel’s encouraging introductions to each session giving reassurance and top tips, to the clips from real women doing Run 30 in the TMR community, who are so inspirational and honest about their experiences. It’s also fun with lots of features like the community page, FAQs, physio room. All the questions we women want to ask but may feel silly to ask and then risk injury or low confidence. This app is so supportive for women who are living with the real daily struggle of carving out just enough time to keep happy and healthy for themselves and their families. I love the philosophy of women supporting women. We need so much more of those supportive behaviours in our world!

Absolutely brilliant - And so needed!
As a new Mum it’s so difficult to make time for yourself, let alone even think about exercise. And there were so many things I was unsure about that I couldn’t motivate myself to get started. This app is like a best mate in your pocket, but a mate who knows exactly what your life is like, understands how hard finding time to exercise is as a Mum and holds your hand every step of the way. The videos from the TMR community made me realise how I feel and the things I worry about are totally normal. The coaching from Mel was pitched just right to me as a newbie runner and it was so helpful having all my “body” questions answered by a trained physio. The world’s Mums have been waiting for this, thank you 🙏

Post natal depression - gone!
This course is life changing. I’ve been struggling with feeling really low after having my daughter and suffering from post natal depression. Starting moving again, and being hand held through the course, and getting that little bit of me time in the fresh air once a week, has transformed how I feel! I’m not doing this for fitness. I’m doing it for sanity. And it’s completely worked! Thanks This Mum Runs!
