I wanted to like it but don’t
I wanted to like Tidal, but I don’t & am probably going to switch back to the more well known music streaming app. While it was easy to switch my playlists, Tidal has added bad techno tracks to every single one, but that’s just an annoyance. The game changing issue is how it takes up a HUGE amount of memory space when you try to download your music to listen to in offline areas, so much so it started causing problems with my phone memory and I had to reinstall. I didn’t even download my 900+ liked song list, only a few albums. I often drive in the mtns without a lot of reception and you can’t use Tidal reliably to listen to music because of this - it frequently stalls out and stops playing when you’re on the move. Between taking up too much memory with downloaded tracks, the bad techno popping up unexpectedly, and the unreliable playback offline, I wouldn’t recommend unless these things improve significantly.

App crashes constantly
App keeps crashing no matter what state my iPhone 17 is in. On wifi or 5G, plugged in or not, after a fresh boot. It constantly crashes for no apparent reason. I have the latest OS update and app update. What is going on??
not worth your time if your new
never have saved music while offline. even if i redownload the music. But then they want to keep increasing the monthly subscription. just to have in mind their subscription used to be 11 bucks a month. ive been a loyal customer for almost 8 years and in my experience it doesn’t beat spotify or youtube premium.

Stops playing
Have enjoyed this app for several years but it’s become hugely frustrating. Over and over and over again, it will stop playing after a song in the middle of an album playlist. You have to open the app and hit play to get it started again.
On top of that, it never remembers where you left off in an album or playlist. If you pause it for a while and hit play later, the whole thing starts over again. Wish they could fix this stuff.
