They never add new content. Been over 2 years.
They have a new apps section but they haven’t added anything in over two years. Some of the apps are broken now. Also their newsreaders all swing to the right like Fox News, no progressive content. 3rd issue their live news feeds scroll way too fast and there’s no control on the speed of them before they switch to the next app. And finally, they haven’t updated the app since I bought this thing it’s like they’ve abandoned it once they made the product.

DONT BUY TIDBYT
It hasn’t worked in several months and when they prompt you to reset, the app does NOTHING. Enjoyed it-ish for the 1st few months, but it has been a paperweight since 2024. The update ruined the product. Save. Your. Time. And. Money.
Could use some tweaks.
This is a fun device. However, I wish I could follow more than one team for NFL, NCAA, Hockey, etc. The only options are to either follow top 25 teams, or just one. My husband and I both follow different teams so it’d be nice to be able to customize which one we can see pop up for scores.
R.I.P. Tidbyt
It’s a shame that the creators sold out to another company. The Tidbyt website is now permanently down, and some Tidbyt’s are staring to get bricked and apps are starting to disappear. There are no new apps available that I know of and now it’s only a matter of time before servers shut down for good and we’re all left with a $200 block of wood. Was nice while it lasted.

This app is dead
No new apps for a long time. Just Pride stuff. What happened?
Don’t waste your money. Account creation is broken.
Apparently I’m not the only one having this issue, per previously posted reviews.
I got the Tidbyt as a gift about two years ago now. I have had it on the same rotating widgets since. I recently moved it to a more visible spot in my home and thought I’d check the app to see if there are any new widgets.
I logged in using my Apple ID associated account, and saw the device and it’s currently associated widgets. I wanted to change the email associated with my account, but didn’t see any settings to do so. So, I deleted the account and tried to create a new one on the startup page of the app, figuring it’d be easy enough to create a new account and link to the factory-reset device.
Despite many efforts, redownloading the app, restarting my phone, etc, the email verification link is broken. It routes me to the app and then nothing.
Funny thing is, I can log into Tidbyt’s shop website on my browser just fine, no email verification issues there. But can’t log into my now useless device 🙃
Guess I won’t bother reaching out to the service team, since reviews state they aren’t responding anyway.
If you’re going to phase out a device people spent money on, at least provide a way for folks to function an app or website with the devices they already purchased.
I’ll check back when I re-discover it in whatever box I store it away in. If reviews haven’t shown improvement and the app still doesn’t work by then, I guess I’ll find some way to recycle the tech. We shouldn’t be left to just throw abandoned devices like this away.

Please update and add more apps
Great product and I haven’t had any problems with the app. However, the app hasn’t been updated AT ALL since the gen 2 came out 9 months ago. Please make it easier to add new apps for those of us who aren’t coding experts.
Great paperweight
We’ve had 2 of these for a couple of years. Recently they’ve both become totally unusable. They were great while they lasted, but now we have some expensive paperweights.
If I could give Zero stars...
I have three tidbytes and loved them. Now the app doesn't work and no one is responding to my emails. Do not buy this device until they get their act together .
UI problems
The add app button blocks the menu button of the app in the lower right hand corner.
Never updates.
When I purchased my Tidbyt they claimed they would add new apps and additional things for the Tidbyt. Yea, that didn’t happen. Still the same items as launch. Neat device, just don’t expect any updates.
Update Loses Settings Option!
Loved my Tidbyt since I first purchased. However, new version of app makes the Settings gear icon disappear. Emails now go unanswered at Tidbyte. I now have a $200 paperweight.
I can no longer even log out or in to reset from scratch. Nothing. And all I get from Tidbyt headquarters are crickets. Ironically, they are still attempting to sell the device on their website. If you are closing-up shop, maybe either inform us or at least stop marketing your product..

YouTube App broken
Wanted a cool way to display my YouTube stats. Completely broken now.
Account Creation Is Broken
When opening the app recently, I was forced to create an account, which is frustrating. But worse is that the account creation flow is broken. The deep link for email verification doesn’t work and the user is stuck on an email verification screen. So I’m completely locked out of managing my device right now. Please fix this!

No support
They no longer support their product. I have emailed them many times and nothing. Pathetic.
Works Fine
Used it to set up my newly acquired Tidbyt via my MacBook Air. No Issues
Pixel problems on iPad have been fixed
App had problems with iPad in the past, now resolved, woo!
Was great but now less so
Used to be able to have a stock price, daily change and daily graph. Now can only have that for an index. What shame. Was a really useful device.
Lovely concept,
We love the bus stop/ times app! Love the retro look and not having to check my phone for everything.
App needs work
The app is way too dark, but please move the + button so you can hit the menu button on the last widget to edit it when scroll down without ultra-precise perfect scrolling.
Also, allowing night mode to be scheduled at different times for different days of the week would be appreciated.
