Cards too small on iPhone

This looks like an interesting game but it only plays in landscape mode on iPhone and the writing and symbols on the cards are way too small to read (even when zoomed) on my iPhone 11. This might work better on iPad or a larger screen phone but on mine, it’s basically unplayable.

Rapide

Très sympa en français serait encore mieux

Jogo excelente, porém incompleto no app

Jogo excepcional, sou viciado! Entretanto, de acordo com as regras, as cartas excluídas em cada era deveriam ficar visíveis, o que ajuda muito no nível hard.

Don’t buy it.

Don’t buy it.

Doesn’t matter how good the interface is. It’s 2021 and it doesn’t have online play.

Tides of Time is great, and it deserves love. Too bad this app isn’t helping anything.

Will happily change my review if this feature is finally added (if the online play is asynchronous).

Great game but

Been playing to a long time. After resetting the game and starting from scratch I notice that the game character will win and get points when it shouldn't.
I’ve noticed it mainly when I use the King’s Nest.
In the beginning levels I win ties. In the higher levels the game wins. It even managed to get a 130+ points but me having the King’s nest should of prevented anything past 50.

Has anyone come across this?

Attractive but needs to slow down

Needs some time to review scoring of individual cards, instead of rapidly moving to game over screen.

Incredible card/board game

Very balanced gameplay. It’s simple enough that anyone can pick it up and play, but strategic enough to stump you. The graphics are exceptional, it’s satisfying building cities, and the cards are easy to read. It’s a very pretty app with beautiful cards. If only all board game implementations were this well designed. Fantastic find.

Solid game!

I like Tides of Time a lot. It has interesting strategic gameplay plus gorgeous art and great music which make it a solid game.

Hello Devs -

The rule book has several typographic errors. “Copper” Age is misspelled as “Chopper” Age at least twice. The Silver Age and Golden Age sections also contain errors.

It seems odd that the AI opponents are named as they are. The “Easy” AI avatar is a young girl named “John” and the “Hard” AI avatar is an old woman named “Harold” ?? Strange.

Superbe !

Excellent petit jeu , superbement réalisé ! Bravo 🎈 !

Good tutorial + easy to play

The app is polished. The tutorial is a great way to learn the game. Once you get through the tutorial the gameplay is just smooth as you would expect it like the physical card game!

Is the app mid-scoring sapphire port

Just played a game against the AI. Their individual card high score was 8 (molehill having a majority in one suit with one card). My individual card high score was 9 with the mana well. So why did the AI score 8 points for sapphire port when my single card was higher?

Fun game but some small improvements would make app better

This is a fun little set collecting, pick and pass game for two players. There’s not a ton of variability to the cards so it likely won’t become an all time favorite. But the small number of cards makes it easy to learn while the variability with the three ages and requirement to keep and trash one card each round adds to the replay ability.

One small change to the app would, I think, be a big improvement, especially for newer players. It would be great to be able to pause after the points are totaled each round so that you can see what cards scored which points. As it is, the points are scored for each card and then that screen immediately goes away, there’s no way to review what scored and what didn’t. This makes seeing the impact of trying out different strategies and understanding how points were scored much more difficult. Also, the AI ratings don’t seem to be consistent. The “medium” difficulty seems much easier than the “easy” difficulty AI. Adjusting so that the “easy” AI truly is easy would, again, be more helpful and less frustrating to less experienced players.

Good but hard to read

This is a really good and tough strategy game with great graphics, very clever.

But it is a pity the cards are really hard to read on an iPhone screen (XS). Unless you’re an advanced player, you end up constantly going from the game to the cards help, which breaks the pace of the game.

A little effort on this (just making the cards bigger when you click on them) would make it a fantastic game.

Stop beating me.

I hate you, John.

Good game

This is a fun and quick little card game, trying to get combos on your cards while trying to stop your opponent from getting combos from theirs. The app looks and plays great, although I think online multiplayer would make it even more fun.

Terrible A.I.

I’m learning the game, so I’ve played several games against the Easy AI. It has crushed me each time so far, in ways that seem unfairly skewed.

The AI player regularly gets dealt cards at the beginning of the round that allow it to score huge bonuses on the final play of the round. An example: on the very final card of the Golden Age, the AI player had 0 points and I was winning the round and overall. He played the final card and scored 53 points on a single play! That level of planning ahead and combos sure doesn’t seem like “easy” AI. It also doesn’t help that I never seem to get dealt these same combo cards at the beginning of rounds, so I’m always forced to score small sets of points here and there. Not fun or rewarding.

Bon jeu rapide

J’ai hésité, pas d’évaluation et un prix un peu élevé. Puis j’ai décidé de le prendre et aucun regret. Bien fait, rapide à prendre en main, belles animations. A acheter sans hésiter.

Cool atmosphere

Even though the same cards are used in each game, there is just enough strategy to keep it interesting. The presentation is wonderful with cool graphics, music, and atmosphere. It’s a solid game of back and forth fun.

Great game

I love this game. It’s easy to learn the basics but there are many variations to score so keeps it fresh. Lots of achievements to unlock as well, which I love. I agree with the other review in that it is crying out for online play though
