About

Tip the scales, and the marbles fall. Move marbles between three tiers of hanging scales and clear exactly three of a colour. But every move changes the weight — and when a scale tips, the outermost marbles slide down to the tier below. NO LUCK, NO TIMER Everything is visible from the first move. Nothing is hidden, nothing is random, nothing is rushed. If you fail, you were simply out-thought. Which means every win is entirely yours. THREE IN A ROW — THAT'S ALL, SUPPOSEDLY • Colour and weight are separate. Same colour clears, whatever the size • Move one marble and that tier's balance changes • When the balance breaks, the outermost marbles fall to the tier below • They can land in a matching three. Sometimes dropping is the answer A DAILY PUZZLE Everyone in the world gets the exact same puzzle each day. With no randomness at all, move counts compare directly. Streaks are tracked, and you can share your result without spoiling the board. 662 STAGES • 560 normal stages that add one new idea at a time, with a breather every fifth stage • 72 "balance it" stages: don't clear the board — level every tier instead • 30 expert stages with exactly one move more than the optimal solution HANGING SCALES A scale can hang beneath another one. The weight of everything on the lower scale presses on the pan above it, so clearing three below tips the scale above on the spot. Moving a tier you cannot reach — from below — is something only this game asks of you. CLEAR ONE COLOUR Some stages only ask you to clear one shape. The other colours may stay on the board. Marbles to clear and marbles to move aside: the same board asks for entirely different moves. CHAINED MARBLES Two marbles joined by a chain. Move one and the other always comes along. They are different colours, so every time you carry the marble you want, an unwanted one fills the pan and shifts the weight. You have to plan where to put it down first. OBSTACLES Uneven lever arms, cracked pans that hold less, sensitive beams that spill early, rusted marbles that never clear, fixed marbles you cannot pick up, and chutes that pass marbles down. Every new element is explained the first time you meet it. EASY TO PLAY • One hand, portrait • Undo one move, a hint for the next move, and a feather that makes one marble weightless • Three stars per stage. Come back and try for a shorter solution PLEASE NOTE The in-game text is currently Japanese only. Play itself uses numbers and shapes, so the puzzles work without reading Japanese, but menus and tutorial notes are not yet translated. So — which way will you tip it?

What's New in Tilting Scales

1.4

September 4, 2026

Two new mechanics — Brittle Pans and Shell Marbles — plus a new Home screen you can reach from the bottom of the screen. BRITTLE PANS A pan chips away and holds fewer marbles each time a sliding marble lands in it (4 → 3 → 2). Placing a marble by hand doesn't chip it. Appears from stage 265 onward. SHELL MARBLES An icy marble that cracks once two matches happen in its pan. It can't be matched itself — the only way to break it is to clear a different set right next to it. Drop it and you lose. Appears from stage 320 onward. ALSO • Added Home / Stage / Shop at the bottom of the screen. Home jumps straight back to where you left off, and shows your total stars and completion rate at a glance • We no longer show ads on our own. Watch a rewarded video only if you want to — every stage plays the same either way • Minor bug fixes Note: the stage count is unchanged (still 662). Brittle Pans and Shell Marbles were added inside the existing stage numbers, so nothing has shifted.
