Perspective is the killer app

It’s simple but surprisingly effective. Wonderful. The widgets are great!

Cool app

Well done update. Really love this app.

Redesign is not good

I use the app to open it up and see the years months days and that clue is gone now. Your colors and gimmicks are useless

Useful perspective

This is a cool concept, and visually attractive.

To think & hope

This forces me to both slow down and push myself a bit. I love that!

Recent Update Removed Features & Widgets

In one of the recent updates, the app’s features were simplified. Many were removed. No more custom themes either, only 6 preset themes.

For some reason, the developer decided to have a whole page dedicated to slowly falling balls for each year left? Is this to entertain your toddler?

You used to be able to customize a widget within the app. My favorite was the small square (4x4) with dots and text at the bottom which said “1 row = 7 years”.
Now you just have preset widgets, and many are just huge text of numbers.

The “vintage” widget is an option, but you only see a total of 16 dots, one of which is offset. I liked seeing a lot of dots.

There was no description of features being removed in the updates. Just “bug fixes and improvements”.
Thanks for your “improvements” mate. Maybe don’t do any more “improvements” please?

Response from developer

Hi! There’s a small widget with dots. Let me know what’s missing for you, but all the old widgets are available, along with a new one.

Sad

I’ve had this app for almost 3 years. When I first downloaded it had such cute pastel colors and made me look forward to planning out my dream life. I hadn’t opened it in a few months and I was so confused. I thought I opened a different app or downloaded an app unknowingly. The whole interface was different - let alone the colors. It used to be so bright, colorful, customizable and cheerful. Now it’s corporate navy blue with the least bit of customization. Deleted.

Thank you for your honest feedback. I’m sorry to hear you don’t like the new version of the app. I tried to make it feel more beautiful and playful, but I understand that it doesn’t work for everyone. I’ll keep your feedback in mind, especially regarding the colors and customization. Have a great day! 🙏

Eye Opener

Very good app which does not let me forget my priorities in life. Julien is very passionate about this app and the contact us feature straightaway sends email to him. He almost immediately replies to queries. Good to have. Highly recommended.

Good little reminder

I was gonna say, saw the app since towards the beginning; loved counting down the days towards my eventual end (not sarcasm).

Gave more and more perspective of my life on earth, especially since finding love of my life.

Hope it remains improved as time goes on

Fun

Visual data makes me happy.

“Most men are dead at 27, we just bury them at 72.”

A wonderful app for making all small events matter. It helps me to focus on my goals, and it reminds me the life is inextensible. Easy to use, minimal but efficient. Thanks you.

free love this app thx

hope we all live long and be happy

Very Grateful

An app that came at a time I needed it most. Definitely helping me keep things moving. Gotta make the most of the time left.

Revamp

Revamp is cool, but why do developers take away stuff when doing an update or revamp? Bring back the widget view with the dot representation for the time.

The whole point of the app is to visualize how much time you have left. Just showing the number of days, weeks, or years doesn’t have the same impact.

More than an app, a life reminder

I have been using Time Left / Countdown since its creation. I love the philosophy behind it: a constant reminder that life is short and that we should live it intensely. Time is the only resource we cannot trade or get back. This app is the perfect embodiment of that thought. Many thanks to the creator for thinking of this and sharing it with us. It is more than just an application; it is a true wake-up call to life!

Close to a 5

I used this in the past and really liked the colorful display. I was surprised by the Sepia drab new UI. Come on life can be fun at least give an option to have the prior display. In fact allow edits of the color so the older you get you can set it to years where you’re likely to be homebound so you can track how much left in active years one has. This would make this a 5+ app.

Thank you for the feedback. I’m currently building what is essentially a brand-new version of the app, and the interface will continue to evolve. I think you’re going to like where it’s heading. I usually create apps to solve my own needs first. Sometimes they stay personal projects, and sometimes, as happened with Time Left, they end up resonating with many other people. I hope you will love the next huge update.
