Finalist: Daily Planner

Finalist 4.0 is the biggest release since launch: four months of open beta, 40 builds, and a planner that is now complete on every screen. NOTES A new Notes tab with notebooks, an Inbox, tags and global search. Keep native notes that sync over iCloud, or connect any folder of markdown files, including your Obsidian vault, and edit them in place. Markdown tasks become real Finalist tasks. Pin notes to Daily, date a note to surface it on the right day, or long-press the big PLUS to dictate one instantly. APPLE WATCH (NEW) Finalist comes to the wrist. A Now card answers the day's current question, from your first moves in the morning to an evening wrap-up with streaks to protect. Below it, one scrollable view of events, tasks, reminders and habits. Long-press a task for Done, Tomorrow, or In 10 Minutes. Pinned lists are checkable from the wrist, and complications plus a Smart Stack widget keep your day on the watch face. Requires watchOS 26. YOUR DAY, REDESIGNED Daily now has two looks: Daybook, the classic, and Broadsheet, a newsprint-inspired design for big screens. A new layout editor lets you rearrange sections, build multi-column spreads on iPad and Mac, and save presets. The Timeline is rebuilt from the ground up: free time compresses so busy stretches get the room, and you can drag tasks in to sketch your day in pencil, then tap Accept to make the times real.
